Roberts admits to some serious technical issues in this. Can't tell if he's being genuinely forthcoming, or softening the blow for when, 6 months from now, stuff is still not right, server side. He basically says 2.0 was "released" without the technical capacity to perform a large amount of game play, at least to some degree, which were aspects on which, to many people, the game was "sold". ( In quotes, as the reason they spent money, not that they actually bought anything ).

If he knew this code was missing, does this make him a liar? If he didn't know this code was missing, does this make all involved incompetent? Discuss.

You DO know that the monthly subscription is entirely voluntary, do you not? And none of the Information that subscribers get is exclusive. A few days (weeks) later you can all read it FOR FREE on the official homepage. Like the Jump Point articles that you find there every week.

That the money from VOLUNTARY subscriptions is used to create the Community magazine "Jump Point" and the community v-blogs.

That the "subscriber only" section of the official forum is a place to submit questions to the developers for those v-blogs. And NOT a place where super-sikrit exclusive info is shared.

That all the hangar decoration flair items that subscribers get every month are NOT exclusive and can be obtained by every player after launch day.

Yet every time CR says something things change. So what may happen after release is not written in stone. He can and does change anything or everything at a drop of a hat. From TOS to character models. The funny part is how everything is right here on this site if you want to start from first video he made to the last one. The guy has shown how and why the game isn't even close to being done if you just go thru the videos and listen. Just amazes me that people are still thinking they may get anything close to what he has promised.

So you don't see a problem with what he has been doing for the last 5 years? Erillion you have to admit if he would of stayed on track you would at least have one game by now (SQ42).

Star Citizen will never release with what he said it would have.

Also they haven't done anything that hasn't already been done in other games. So why can't you admit to at least the fact the money corrupted him and ruining a lot of what he promised to do?

It is a fact that all things mentioned/promoted by Chris will not make it into the game. I think even Erillion has not drank that much kool-aide yet and will admit to that. I also think all the rework on ships, the engine and basically everything is a sign of poor leadership and lack of planning on Chris's part.

The foundation of the game was built by many people who have since left the company and it was originally designed around launching a product in 2 years and then adding new modules as time went on. When Chris got more money, instead of staying the course he went ballistic with bigger plans and he changed everything. This is why so much of the early work is being "reworked" and a reasonable assumption as to the cause of the delays.

I HAVE a game by now .... getting more fun out of various Star Citizen Alpha testing parts then i got out of various so called finished games that i bought.

I can race other ships.
I can fight other players in PvP in various ships and loadouts in Arena Commander
I can fight waves of NPCs in various PvE scenarios in Arena Commander
I can do missions in the "Crusader" scenario.
I can bounty-hunt player ciminals in the "Crusader" scenario.
I can do FPS against other players in Security Post Kareah
I can chat and dance and socialize in the ArcCorp area
I can do buggy racing in ArcCorp Landing Zone 18.
I can snipe and kill with a weapon i found in a derelict ship in an asteroid belt.
I can party with friends in a ship in quantum travel.

And thats only the beginning.

Personally I say about this game:
Its done when its done.

And i put my money where my mouth is and backed this game - one ship, one account.

Very disingenuous post, but who is surprised by that.

EVERYTHING youre doing now is completely wasting time. (not that MMOs arent a waste) but NOTHING youre doing is saved, there is no advancement, no progression, no sense of accomplishment. All the stuff people do now simply disappears. To claim that is more fun than a game where you go back and actually see the 'fruits' of the time you spent is laughable.

Thats like looking out in your yard in July and say...'you know last January when I shoveled that 12 inches of snow it was the most fun I ever had, much more fun than the garden growing right there'.
