If they ever decide to make some channels or servers where owpvp is limited to guild wars or flagging for it I'm sure many wouldn't mind reaching endgame instead of stalling.
I think the forums are starting to level out a bit more. I'm noticing more posts about how frustrating it is being locked from game progression due to guilds owning all the grind spots across all channels and more people agreeing with the issue and less personal attacks about being carebear. One person suggested playing between 4am and 5am...really? wtf? Broken game is broken.
I guess you read what you want to read. I saw the same thread with the 4-5am comment lol. But broken game is broken? Nah... broken play style where you're pig headed about insisting on grinding at the "one and only" place to grind. Lots of reasonable responses about other places to grind other than the main Sausan camp. I guess you didn't want to focus on those.
They just need to raise the bar back to 50 and re-enable the no 50 without fighting that one boss quest (where the text still says that lol) and we're good. It IS supposed to be a post-50 OWPVP game and it is everywhere else in the world. PVE-only players can then make that choice and remain 49 as long as they want.
The only wonky thing is the lowering of the PVP threshold to 45 without a required quest. That's what sets us apart from the rest of the world that plays the game as designed. And it's likely the only PVE change that's coming.

People aren't being ganked left and right. People complaining about pvp are often times not even lvl 45 yet.
Everything they want to do they can do within the safety of a town. Most everything is got with workers.
The people complaining about the pvp are complaining because they want to AFK fish hotspots, making some of the best coin in game. They want to farm limited spawn mobs like ogres, for some of the best jewelry, without anyone being able to stop them.
They can craft, and fish, in safe zones where they never have to worry about a PK.
The devs even put mobs in the game that will stop an AFK trader in their tracks and kill them, an they feel that they should get immunity from players.
Games flooded with people, no one's quitting because of the pvp, because there is no rampant ganking going on. They're using hysteria and exaggeration to try and give the image that a problem exists where there is not one.
If you're considering the game, you should ignore the people screaming the sky is falling. They are the people that jump from one pve MMO to the next, consuming the content, and then complaining there's nothing for them to do.
BDO is about a dynamic world, where players action has consequence and meaning. It is not about farming the latest pve content for the BiS item just to have it. You're supposed to use that stuff to help your guild take territory, or protect your group from other players.

I have a few spots I grind in and can go hours without seeing another player and yes it is slow but i like my space.
Removing the 50 quest was poor judgment; the game already has the strike against it for being a Korean owpvp game with some grindy mechanics which will keep some people from even giving it a try. It is broken and they need to add it back. The quest still states that fact.
[Co-op] Defeat the Weakened Belmorn!
- Description:
※ You must complete this quest in order to reach Level 50.
※ After reaching Level 50, the PvP feature will be activated.
The Black Spirit suggests you defeat Belmorn with the Ancient Light.
※ Recommended Level: 49
(You can retry the quest by canceling and receiving it again. However,
you must discard the Summon Scroll in order to receive a new quest.)

My other point is that I have seen more than just this thread where players have stated they are leaving until the rest of the world opens up....which is a legitimate option.
BTW no where on the main BDO site do they say anything about OWPvP as a selling point; that is just something you gotta dig for and I'm sick of people saying "you knew it was OWPvP when you got the game". Sure some of us bought it for that reason; but not everyone is going to come in knowing this.

I doubt polls do any good, but I voted yes. That way we can all how our 50+ pvp toons and 49 mules like any other good MMO allows.
Then you got these tards saying no, make it 40.99, make it 44.99 ffs it make it the way it was designed by Pearl Abyss and stop trying to make it to suit your stupid ideals of what your WoW playing ass thinks is good game design. Another Trion Repeat? I'm thinking so
eh. They could remove PvP and I still wouldn't go back. Kind of funny in a way, I spent 11 years in EQ2 and rather do that boring stuff. I can't really put my finger on why but that is me.
Wait a couple more months, and most people will end up quitting, due to the grindy nature of the game. Most people don't even research a game thoroughly, and have no idea this game has no traditional dungeons or raids, which will end up being it's downfall. PvP-centric games will always be niche.

Really makes you wonder about the logic of people when you see this, absolutely agree with you.
The game is about the journey, not the conclusion. Honestly, everybody happily playing in game doesn't care about the boat durability. It takes ages of non stop boat use for it to deplete, by the time you should have resources for your next one.
People are enjoying making the boats, not just being given one or buying one.
Nobody cares about servers dying down. In your previous post you asked what happened?
It's quite obvious.
All the people who couldn't adjust their way of playing/thinking or who don't like sandboxes, open world pvp or complex systems went back to their themepark gear and dungeon treadmills waiting for the next big MMO to launch that they will again leave in time for the next WoW expansion.
There's nothing wrong with that. The people left in BDO want to be there. It's a lot less toxic and contested now.
People are enjoying making boats? Maybe the first 2 or 3 times - after that the feeling of fun starts to wear off.
The fishing boat takes a TON of resources and has low durability - so come back to me after you've gone through about 4 fishing boats how fun it is to make them. The vast majority of players (Korean, RU and now NA/EU) have been asking for a way to repair boats - as they are not finding it so much fun making them over and over again.
What's driving players away is the same thing that does it in every game - boredom due to repetitive gameplay.
The hypothesis that Black Desert is so different that players can adjust their way of thinking to me just doesn't hold much water - the players are seeing the treadmill required to stay competitive in PvP and are simply walking away.
The broken Boss mechanics and severe disadvantage melee classes experience in PvP due to poor server performance regarding grabs and knockdowns is only adding salt to the wound.
But again - it's on Daum and PA to fix the server performance issues - they've been saying they're aware of the problem since CBT2 - zero improvements so far. (also it's worth noting that Korean servers work properly and don't have the same issues plaguing NA/EU)
Nah dawg the solution to your problem is to play ranger. I too enjoy seeing Rangers and Wizards in Red Battlefield at +300 points because they are unkillable but they can pepper melee classes in so many stuns and knockdowns while destroying you before you get back up. Also a nice touch that Tamers pet is still bugged in there so it's utterly useless to add. Sure I could spec into consume heilang but he's very useful for grinding and I guess this game rather you spend 9 dollars for respecs instead of offering a secondary skill set.
Even while managing to grab a ranged class only to watch them float away constantly due to desync multiple times, especially Rangers who respond with a shotgun to the face for nearly all my health. All these channel bugs and issues with congestion to small annoyances like waiting 13 min to que for red battlefield because the channel you logged into isnt currently queing players make me wish they just made the game server based.
I played DAoC and WAR so It's all bit tiring that time and time again ranged classes never get balanced properly and the whole AP vs DP scaling thread you mentioned does little to better things. If these issues (namely desync) are not fixed come node wars this games PvP will cease to be and all that's left are top PvP guilds zerging Rangers and potato farmers making carts and boats.
"A breeze of change" or "a fart in the wind", we shall continue to monitor the situation over the next 18 months and get back to you on that one.
I can't believe people here gave you any "insight". It takes you 18 months to know if a game is fun? Not me. It's fun after a couple of weeks for me.
Fart jokes ...nice /rolls eyes
Good for you? never said it took me 18 months but it's nice to see you are back to randomly troll and add nothing of real value to any discussion you post in as always.

And you're using the same ol' tired PvP sheep excuses to try and demean those who simply have a different play style that either you chose not to understand, or choose to dismiss altogether. Are you with every single PvE player, in every single server/channel, to be able to absolutely know for sure whether they aren't being ganked left and right? No, you aren't. And unlike yourself, who has no proof of players that aren't being ganked left and right, there are plenty of videos on the web as we speak clearly depicting many instances of PvP gankers doing exactly that and bragging about it. All you need to do to find this proof is google it!
All these PvE players want to do is to be able to play the game that they payed for their way, not yours. They are not asking for the game to be changed into something that would be harmful or unrecognizable to the PvP-centric players, they are simply asking for the game to be what it is in other regions. And that is for the PvP opt in quest to be re-instituted into the game so that it will be the exact same version that is played in the other regions that have released BDO. If Daum were to do that, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now.
But no, all the PvP-centric players want to do is force the PvE players to play their game so that they can have their sheep to gank at the unsuspecting PvEers expense. They then begin mandating stuff like restricting them to level 40 "where they can craft and fish in safe zones" as if to punish them simply because they get their little feelings hurt because PvEers don't want to play with them. Let me fill you in on a secret that you seemingly have no clue about because you and your PvP-centric amigos are unable to comprehend the concept. PvE players don't care about your grind spots, or farming limited spawn mobs like ogres, for some of the best jewelry. That is a PvP thing, not a PvE thing.
This obsession that PvPers have about claiming farming spots as their territory and about being KS'd borders on the ridiculous. Why is it ok to gank a player that has no chance against you to farm a spot but its not ok for another player to KS you for that same loot in that spot. It's merely the exact same concept from a different extreme. As a matter of fact, the KS holds more credibility because the system, an unbiased mechanic, decides who the stronger player is and therefore awards that player the loot, as opposed to gankers who simply bully you out of the loot because they are either higher level or better geared, or outnumber the opponent to bully them out of the spot/loot. If you are really better than that player, then KS is the fairer option because it is unbiased and simply awards that loot to the better player.
Look, I like BDO, I don't think anyone on this forum could ever deny that. I want the game to succeed but it won't if certain measures are not addressed and this PvE vs PvP thing is one of the bigger issues the game has, if not the biggest. Whether you want to admit it or not, the game's servers and channels are thinning out as we speak, and they will continue to do so as more and more PvE players start reaching that 45 PvP level. This isn't anything new. It has happened in every single game that has featured this OWPvP game system with the last one being as recent as Archeage. The same arguments that are being made now between PvE and PvP players have been made in every single similar game before BDO with Archeage being the most recent. And where is Archeage now? Yep, in exactly the same place BDO will be, and the same place Mortal Online, Darkfall, Eve and every other single PvP game featuring OWPvP is at as we speak. Empty servers and going no where, but down, until gone. There is no upside to this OWPvP game play. There never has been, and there never will be. Its toxic and it isn't financially viable nor sustainable.
And the best part, It's buy to play with this massive feature list for just buying the game with expansions for free I'm all set for the rest of the year and beyond.
The thing is - will you stick with it for an enitre the rest of year and beyond?
Black Desert has a problem of going from very fun and engaging to - "i can't take it anymore" pretty fast - due to extreme repetition - especially for those trying to keep up with competitive PvP players.
After a while getting those fail stacks becomes more of a job than fun - especially once you get to +13/14 and beyond.
Now of course you may play this for 10 years - we don't know - just saying - maybe wait for a year first before actually saying you are set for a year -just because so many players are feeling VERY strongly about this game for the first 4-6 weeks, only to suddenly stop playing entirely.
It's happening already
Look at the channel list across all 3 US servers right now - the game launched March 3rd - what happened?
Remember even one/two weeks ago - every channel was crowded - and this time no tweaks were made to metrics displaying on how full the channels are.
Oh and before anyone gives me any crap - I am still playing BD and have been playing it for over a year if you count my time spent on Korean servers.
Definitely stoked for Blader coming out next week - so I am in this for the long haul, but not going to pretend that the game is not experiencing a sudden downturn in active players.
now im not us, and i dont know what time of day this was taken, but i will show you an exact opposite picture that shows every channel crowded some even 'overcrowded' on the EU side, your picture doesn't say or prove anything, a picture only tells a 1000 words in the context its taken, but also given ive played over 500 hours since release and no matter where i am pretty much anywhere in the world and any instance i always run into people The only game that can match this one for polar opinions is SC that i see on this forum, i dont know why people hate on it, and yet are always moaning that nothing is being released, or its the same old quest farm mmo...

Daum is one of those companies that think they need to change the game for a western audience, then usually changes it in the wrong direction. Almost all the changes Daum has made were in the wrong direction. So in reality they were a bad choice as a publisher and now because of those decisions to change the game, content additions will take longer as they go through the Daum filter. You saw this in other companies as well like Gamers First and Trion Worlds. This is especially alarming for games that translate well as is. Black Desert Online has always been a game that is attractive to a Western Audience. Pretty much the success Black Desert sees is because the game is good despite Daum's efforts to make it worse.

Primetime EU server Jordine I'm on all server shows croweded and some still even shows overrun so I guess either the US players don't like BDO or his screenshot were taken off hours.
Yes the servers have their spikes and dips, no need to post shots of server status lol. I log in daily and see sometimes top channel is crowded; sometimes they all are, sometimes not. Just depends on the time of day.
