what is it? what is it worth? I reopened my accounts from waaaaay back and both had one in each. I sold one for about 1.2 million thinking it was just crap left over from back in the day. When i logged onto my second account I noticed it had one too. I'm fearful now that its worth alot more than what i sold the first one for. I'm holding on to the second one.
I greatly appreciate any info ...
Thanks

No sir...its a red ruby looking thing...the description reads like this..
Fullerene is a moleculre composed entirely of carbon. It is usually spherical in shape and can be harmful to living organisms. Basic Fullerene is used as superconductors and in the biotech industry. Complex fulleren is an advanced version of basic fullerene that only the Jovians know how to produce. it is much Harder than basic fullerene and is indestructible by all conventional methods used by the other races and thus useless in the current technological environment . The force involved in breakiing it into shards must have been staggering.
Attributes: Mass 10.kg Volume 1.0 m3
It is something every player got into his hangar because of an ingame event. The Jovians Ambassador's (IIRC) Teleportation device ran afoul and distributed him across the EVE cluster. Then there was a contest of which Race could collect more of those, with the Caldari winning.
Last time I saw one on escrow it had a 2.1 Mill pricetag.

Yah,
It was from an event where a Jovian Ambassador came to empire to test out a new type of jump drive. It ended up scattering him throughout the entire galaxy (magically into everyone's hangers even!). The Joves made a call to all the empires to return the fragments of his body so that they could clone him again.
There were five pieces from the event IIRC - the Complex Fullerene Shard from his jump capsule, and then four pieces of his body (can't remember what they are unfortunately). Everyone got a Fullerene Shard, and also one type of body part, so you should look for both.
The numbers of parts that the Joves were looking for were huge. The empire that turned in the most parts would get a faction standing bonus to the Jove (the empire's standing, not players), and anyone that managed to turn in a full order of each type of part would get a Blue Print Copy for the new Prototype Cloaking Device. This was before Covert Cloaks and ships were released mind you. Only a few people actually managed to do this. The Caldari State won the faction standing increase - which was already the highest amongst the empires.
Whats very interesting, though, is that the Complex Fullerene Shard was never used in this event, and the Devs say that they do have a plan for it eventually. I still have mine.
Q: How many Jove does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: One, and 10000 Minmatar, Caldari, Gallante, and Amarr to put him back together again.
Still makes me giggle
