This is open world pvp, right? Definite pass for me with that one. Servers with own rulesets might be able to change that , I would hope.

People throwing their turds at each other about graphics need to simmer down. Graphics do matter, and graphics do not stop at polygon count or pixel density. Art style is paramount, and it seems to be on a solid foundation here.

I'd like to hear more about creatures, dungeons, etc. I like what they describe in the interview. Building anywhere is big for me. Finding that perfect location is half the fun

why are the graphics so bad? give me this game with modern graphics.
  • DauntisDauntis Member UncommonPosts: 600
When speaking of graphics, "style" is a matter of opinion, but lazy and outdated is a fact. Furthermore companies who use the excuse of making it look like classic games is well bull. It is because they don't have the funds for a better engine or talented artists and programmers or both.

Learn something about engines:)...Most of these rehashes have been done with unity, which is capable of just about any camera angle you want.

Outdated is an opinion, as plenty of people still love isometric RPGs, including myself.

I still play the original NWN so graphics aren't at the top of my list, but combat is. Played on the free test server on the weekend. Don't mind the game itself but the combat is old school bad. Free test server so you can make your minds up. I'll pass.

My breaking point on graphics is if it looks visually worse than FFXI or WoW. Hope this is the game of some people's dreams though.

I recently found this game and to be honest, i am having a blast.
Yes it's alpha, yes there are bugs, no it is not perfect, but it has made me "want to do just one more thing before i finally log out again".
Been a long time since that happened with any MMO(RPG) lately, and that includes bigger releases like Archeage and Albion Online.

    The good:
Open world, you can build anywhere.
They added safe zones where you can play in peace and clan war zones for (future) pvp battles
The building up of your economy (getting your own food production and gear production going) is a lot of fun, very smooth and still not a cake walk.
The team is small but dedicated and friendly, which i consider a big plus lately with all these ivory tower companies around (Trion anyone?)

    The bad:
It's still in alpha state, and that means bugs, and a lot of future plans not being implemented yet. also, the player base is very modest, which is a shame cause it would definetely be a better gaming experience with more players around.
Still, i found if worth my 15 dollars.

Currently playing browser games. Waiting for Albion Online, Citadel of Sorcery and Camelot Unchained.
Played: almost all MMO pre 2007
