just got banned for 3hours

Because i got kicked from a guild and its GM leader started sending me whispers about gay sex. And i get banned!
This is the pathetic nature of this game and i urge anyone that hasnt played it to NOT DO so. this game is run by wierdos for wierdos.
getting sexual tells from people is a bannable offense on WOW, but this player isnt banned, i got banned for and i qoute.
Character name involved: Jessian
Type of violation: Harassment: Defamitory
Details of incident: Made defamitory comments about players and guilds
Consequences for account: Warning placed on account and account suspended for 3 hours.

They dont ban for a he said/she said type of situation. You had to do something to warrant a banning. They do however, research chat logs on character up to 24 hours! So you had to do something to warrant the ban!

the full story, was in a guild named EVO on twisting nether, the leader Mythology has an alt named Heal. he went on a bender that day kicking everyone he didnt like from the guild.
i was on my alt, krellian a level 6 warrior at the time, and spoke in guild chat, i was told by heal i wasnt HIGH enough to be allowed to speak in Guild chat! then i got kicked, so i logged into my main on that server to be kicked from that too, then i got sent a very sick whisper by this leader about me being the son of a gay couple.
then i reported it, then i did something to warrant my ban, ie went around bad mouthing this guild.
nothing major, or my ban would have been a lot longer than 3hours.
his comments on the other hand are rude, offensive and politically incorrect. and against the rules as well.

In your first post, you make it seem as if you did nothing to deserve the 3hr ban.
Still, I'm sorry to read that your guild leader was an obvious prick. Good luck on finding a new guild.

its stupid man.. people in groups flame me and everyone in it then when we kick them they report us for kicking them...
blizzard has really got to narrow things down for what they can and cant report us for !!
I wonder why the GM of your guild kicked you out??

I have the feeling there's more to this than meets the eye... the one who has been punished is always the innocent one. O:-)
On 5 seperate occasions before i have received a 'Warning' and not once been banned or got my account suspended.
I did everything from Verbal abuse to racism to stealing group loot and i have moved on and learned from it, but to be banned you need to do something really bad.
maybe the GM was just in a bad mood?
