I'm sick of waiting.
About six weeks ago I started playing EVE thinking that it it was just going to be a short term gig until The Chronicle got started. Recently I started working nights which is HELL on my timing for playing EVE (none of my corporation buddies are online and I get to play for an hour or two before the server shuts down for an hour each day).
*But at least I'm playing*
The worst part of it is-- there isn't even a web page for The Chronicle game itself!
I hate to think of what this game COULD have been...but.... The greatest game in the world doesn't mean a whole Hell of a lot if no one can play it, now does it?

Jesus, just be glad you didn't choose to wait for Darkfall. When did they announce this game? 2005? And, I know, they said 6-8 months. But, come on, this is still nothing. I've waited longer for less promising games.
And they said they've finished The Chronicle website, but they're updating the forums.

comparing apples and oranges though.
we bought into the lie that they would be pushing good, solid games out at a very fast pace. I was promised 2 games live by last fall when i preorded..
i haven't even visited their forums since november because i know its a waste of time. though this did backfire on me because i found out about the refund a day too late to actualy get it apparently..
they aren't even close to releasing one..well maybe endless ages, a game people didn't want to play 5 years ago when it was first released.
Bought into a lie? No one promised anything because they knew people would do this and freak out at every delay. They changed engines, that doesn't buy them any time? Calm down. They were delayed a couple of months.. can't think of any MMO that hasn't been delayed at least that.

RR was supposed to be a revoluntionary corporation with a revolutionary game with a revolutionary development time - your comparing RR to the rest now... which is lowering RR's reputation. Wipe the revolutionary out of development time and revolutionary out of corporation.
Open your eyes - they delayed and they never justified it. They don't even have a website - what kind of company is this? I doubt TC will be out within months, maybe 2 or 3 years is likely.
People are starting to understand that they were wrong about the releasing schedule deadlines and they were wrong about their website.
And they keep undertaking new projects - why would someone want to pre order them when they have 3 projects going on at once. Jujst finish one and people will be happy, don't worry about AFrica or machines for a while.

The gameplay in all of their games is still revolutionary. Their games are like nothing else on the market, aside from Darkfall which has been in development for what? 5 years? The way they make they make them is still revolutionary. The other games spend half a decade in development and are slowly rising in price. MMOC can get a game out in 6-8 months and only need around 25k subscribers paying $13 a month to make a profit. Having a game delayed once doesn't make me lose hope.
They never justified it? They changed engines. And The Chronicle's website is finished, they're waiting until they finish updating the forums on it to release it. As for when it'll be released, I doubt it'll be 2 to 3 years. Can't say why exactly, look in the beta site.
Again, they never released a scheduled deadline. They said it should take about 6-8 months, and then they changed engines, which is why the games were not released in Fall 2005. Africa is not taking away people from TC or Machines, they've said that a few times.

They thought they could get those games out by Fall, weren't planning on changing engines from the start. Had they planned on switching engines from the beginning, yes, that would have been a lie.
Why are you two still here? You both seem to have no faith in this game at all. A MMO is delayed a couple months and you two freak out? I know I've said this 30 times in this post, but they changed engines. It's not like they just couldn't get the game to work or they couldn't finish it time. They didn't do this because it was easier. They did it because it's supposed to be a much better engine. Look at the new screenshots, look at the system requirements.
This is their first game under MMOCenter, and their most important one. They can take an extra 6 months to get everything how they want it. If it's not in beta by the end of Q2 2006, then I'l admit something's wrong.

It has been said that they can wait another 6 months, from fanboys of the "DnL" or "Darkfall" game a few years ago. You sound like them. You seem like a very gullible person to me. They delayed and thats the end of story. I don't care if they changed codes or engines, they did not hit their target deadline. Their reputation fell into the toilet.

If you think a company losses all their credibility simply because they don't make their target deadline then you're just f**kin' nuts. Would you rather they stick with a worse engine when they can spend another 6 months making everything look a lot nicer and reduce the system requirements? They probably assumed you could you wait a couple months to play a better game. Those ruthless bastards...
There's a difference between blindly waiting for Darkfall for 5 years and giving a company 6 months to change engines. You guys either have no patience at all or you're just trolls who didn't bother to read past the word "delay" before you started posting dictionary quotes to flame them.

there is actually only two references to dates
Initially long time ago they said Q2 (whoops)
And then when the beta was supposed to start like now....
so it's not like it's been delayed that much....
WOW went from like December of '03 to November of '04......on top of that that game had been hyped since '01
no big deal....a little bit of a wait for most games is normal
