Launching today, the Citadels expansion is a significant step for EVE Online. It’s the result of a journey that started with Rubicon, gradually handing more of the nuts and bolts of New Eden into the hands of players. What started as Ghost Sites and simple structures has grown into an artificial intelligence and full-blown Citadels. But this expansion is just a milestone on that journey, with much more to come in the years ahead.

    Oh god, just when I thought me and my 3 Eve accounts were retired for good, they add all this amazing stuff. Sigh, looks like BDO is going to have to do something amazing to hold me much longer, my internet space-ships are a calling.

    Those citadels sure look impressive! But... eh, not really feeling the itch to return, I'm afraid. It's not that I have a problem with EVE per se. It's still a good game and they are making progress, although it feels like it's going at a snail's pace compared to the rest of the world. It's just that I have other games that better fulfil my needs these days while being more cost effective compared to running 3+ EVE accounts. Elite Dangerous, Space Engineers and Kerbal Space program all scratch that space itch in various ways and when I want some PvP, there's always War Thunder or World of Warships.

    I for one have become far more interested in the new content after reading this article and watching the vids, thanks for posting it.

    As a null sec dweller (and off grid mining booster) this will likely bring changes both good and bad to my gameplay.
