Microsoft may still not own the internet, but you certainly can't fault their campaign to subvert and sabotage open source html standards. It appears like that was a job nicely done.
Anyway, it will be fun to see if Firefox actually starts working reliably for me again at, say, amazon.com. Because it hasn't for a couple of years now. And I just hope its amenability to plugins doesn't get trashed? I seem to remember reading something about that happening, but I couldn't understand most of it. I'm essentially programming illiterate.
I rarely use firefox but i do have it. My main browser on PC is Opera, and on mobile Opera Mini. I also have Yandex(Russian) and Sleipnir(Japanese) browsers.
I removed Firefox from my phone because they made Yahoo as the default search engine. I prefer DuckDuckGo and google search but every time i clear data goes back to Yahoo and doing that several times a day is annoying.
