So tired.........

Ok so hears my story if you care to hear it.

My mmo carrer started when i saw a friend of mine playing EQOA, the next day i had an account my self.
About 5 mounths later i still loved my chanter and was just getting in to the cool spells and makeing alot of online friends when disaster struck. FFXI came out on PS2 all my friends left EQOA and the sever pop droped to an insanely low number. I still loved EQOA but the world was ruined (not olny by FFXI, SOE made some really bad calls around the same time namely the pluage) so like my RL friends i moved to FFXI where i was happy for a bit but soon realized that the game was too hard for most (not that i give up that easly but 1 wipe would destroy a group and set you back hours makeing people very irratable)
This caused a lot of problems and eventualy I decided to look for a game where the people wernt angry all the time. Next was Ryzom witch i accualy went out and bought a $2,000 PC to make the gameing easyer. (remember i had olny played PS2 mmo's at this point and needed a PC for other reasons as well I'm not that crazy) , but a endless list of bugs a terible UI and lack of content drove me away from Ryzom after a few mounths. EQ2 was my next mistake (I dont feel a need to explain why I stoped playing). After EQOA came guildwars it was free it felt like a real RPG but im not big on pvp so i got bored fast.

Then like most gamers i hit rock bottom. I went out and bought WoW (witch for some reason i still play)
Dont get me wrong WoW was fun. Its by far the easyest MMO out there, it has huge world to explore, and you can feel powerfull after just a few weeks of play.

One year later and i have a few lv60s ive done some end game (witch is honest;y standing there spamming 1 spell while people bark orders on TS) and i feel ive seen all there is to see.

So ive downlaoded tons of clients and tryed so many games that there starting to blur together.

Here is my delema.

1 Do I just give up on MMOs? (something i know i cant do)

2 Do I go back to a game like Ryzom or ROSE online?

3 Do I just try to stick it out with WoW and hope the players grow up and they make some type of chalenging content?

4 Do I put out the cash to try Eve or RF online?

5 Do I hold out for Vanguard or 1 of the other games that are showing some promise?

6 Do I just go to bed and tell myself not to post things at 5am?

I thank you for any input you have.

What I really want is a game that gives a breath of fire feel and contains the abilty to make chacters that are more than clones.

You could try EVE for free for 14 days, as well as several other games that also have free trials.

For 99% of people playing MMO's aren't a career (although sometimes they feel like a second one as people put more hours into it then their RL job). My advice get out your frigging house once in a while.

Or maybe it was just a figure of speech? image

I say take a break from MMOs for a while, it's really not that hard. I'm on a break right now and it sure feels good going to bed a decent hour. Play some single player games, go outside, go see a movie.image

Ok! so I read your whole speech. I would say, try out some new console games and play single player for a while. You will get the taste of mmo's out of your mouth and get some time away from the things that have gotten so stale to you(mmo's). Then after a while(oh lets say a month or 2) of avoiding mmo's, you should go back to em and see if you feel the same way.

PS. You would probably really like the origonal Everquest...Not a fanboy, I am being serious on that note.
