    Its probably legit but go to your battle.net account to verify it...dont use any links from the email

    Well desperation is pushing it way too far, wow is the undisputed market leader.  It makes close to a billion dollars a year, plus Blizzard really don't care as much about wow as many seem to think they do, it's one of many titles they have.  They don't need wow.

    If they were giving away Overwatch I would say it's desperation, since that's a new game.  Wow is 14+ years old now with a massive film coming out, this is just pretty clever marketing.

    It's legit, and the only difference to the similar free expansion stuff from years before is, the 7 free days and the actual 90 boost, which is why op pulled the desperation card, to give away a 90 lvl boost is expensive.

    As other have said do not use an e-mail link; go to battle.net.

    Undisputed leader? That could now be Lineage 1. WoW fell throughout last year to $720M - hardly desperate but well below a billion.

    Unfortunately I bought the expansion so this offer is not for me.
    I won't go back to WoW untill they start making it challenging again.
    Today the game is too easy mode, Blizzard needs to smell the coffee and understand that the Vanilla debate is about the game going back to its roots.

    Last time end up leveling some alts with the time.
    I jsut finished my 7 days and hit 91 so it will allow the level up....I had that issue in EQ2 but not WoW.

    lets pretend for a minute that it isn't a phishing email ... i think the real question is why you would be so offended by a limited time offer marketing campaign. i know people around here like to live in a fantasy world where money doesn't matter, but in the real world all companies leverage EVERY SINGLE advantage they possibly can to make more money. if you think there is an AAA game company out there that doesn't ... you are mistaken.

    LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity.
    I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already :)

    Ill stick to Overwatch and Hearthstone.  Thanks, but no thanks.  Only way I would go back is if they offered a progressive server from Vanilla through BC, and finishes off with WOTLK.
