In my opinion Ramin Djawadi's composing character was always about original, concrete and antique tasted melodies together with his solemn and plain use of orchestration. ( of course this thoughts are based upon mostly Game of Thrones music ) You can rarely observe complex melodies or harmony within.Though thats not a bad thing i think this music deserved more
Honeslty this just sounds as another (orc_combat2_mp3 ) regular theme with mainly brass instruments and drums within, one can say that he spent less time with Warcraft concept than he spent listening to beautiful sounds that Derek Duke, Glenn Stafford, Tracy W. Bush and Jason Hayes ( may their names be long remembered as their music ) have had created.
I appreciate music for im a musician myself and found this piece of music far from memorable and original but rather casual and ambient.Shame that this is the opening theme. I never understand the usage of composers based on how popular they are.If this was for the names above, we would murmur the notes like we still do with 20+ years old Star Wars or Lord of the Rings or even Game of Thrones if you know what i mean.And Warcraft has became a title none less than the above.
TL:DR : Fail theme.Unmemorable and can be easily created by a reddit fan pouring in all the pentatonic shit with orcish spices- characterless brass and drums with bad strings accompanying.Get the bald guy.He makes good music.

I appreciate everything you wrote, and was actually very impressed.
All that I could possibly say is this is the opening theme, which will prolly be a boring cg credit roll, hopefully the main theme and other pieces feel more worthwhile.
