Every time i've gone with AMD I have had driver issues running way longer than the week, AMD cards are cheaper and run at comparably speeds to Nvidia products, but its always the drivers that let them down, so I end up shelling out more cash on a product that is hardware wise quite comparable.

I do still buy AMD cards, they are just regulated to the PC that runs our home entertainment in the family room as drivers arn't that much of an issue in that PC's set up, as it is a streaming set up.

However still had a few bumps even with that set up with driver induced visual stutters and ghost lines , that rolling back the driver fixed.

The nvidia had 10-20fps more at way too many times to call it even.

Well, i have NVidia and, plainly said, their DX12 driver is....crap. QB huge driver issues still arent fixed over a month after launch, Hitman driver crashes in DX12 and delivers worse performance than DX11, huge drops in performance in Forza, bad performance in AotS...its like they dont really care....

everyone keeps talking about that but no reference to Vulkan.

    its like pulling teeth

Given that the 1080 cards are currently working terrible with DX12 I am curious if anyone has information on how the 1080 card is working with Vulkan. It does not have to be Doom specifically.

I didn't know the 1080 was working poorly with Dx12. That's interesting news given that it outperforms the 970 by a huge measure and the 970 is handling Dx12 okay.

Both cards run that game nicely.
I wonder how the card works with Vulkan

Doom will be first released game to get Vulkan wrapper so that will be first glimpse.

They have shown 1080 at the event running 120-130 FPS avg on 1080p on Vulkan.

If Vulkan is currently not jacked but DX12 is I find that rather interesting.
