texture problem (i believe)

I have a problem when playing this game on PC: all of the textures and different parts of the characters are scattered all over the screen. It is kind of hard to explain, but for example my character is missing parts of his body or his shoulder will appear a foot to his left or something like that. Also, at the character selection screen the camera always appears to be zoomed in extremely far and the characters appear right up close to the screen almost in a blur of color. Enemies and other players also appear this way.
I've tried adjusting all of the settings in FFXI Config to the lowest possible choices allowed (although my specs should very much not require me to) but to no avail. Has anyone else had this problem?

i don't play FFXI actually, but i would sugger to update your graphic drivers if you didn't do it yet
and try to contact the FFXI technical support
