I have backordered the OXM (Official Xbox Magazine) February issue to get the beta and play for a week or two (beta ends April 2nd I think?) and see how I like it. It looks like it has nice graphics but I have never played the PC version to compare it to. Anyway if I like it I'll definitley be picking it up April 20th.
Well the thing that pisses me off is the amount of secrecy and lack of information playonline and square/enix give about this title.
They say nothing about how it will be upgraded, whether the new expansion will be available at the same time as for PC, nothing! For pete's sake, tell us about it, you wanna selll it don't you??

I heard not much is upgraded, but I think I saw somewhere with an interview that you can see farther out into the world then you would be able to on the PC or PS2. Not much else in the way of graphical improvements I don't think.
About the expansion, FFXI for the 360 will ship with all 3 expansions on it...so it would be worth the $60 I think because the Vana'diel collection I have found for $30.00 while the new expansion is going to sell for $30 also. I have heard from people by looking at some of the forums on the community sites for the game that it is much easier to play on the PS2 than PC as the game was designed more for play on the PS2 and the PC controls feel wierd. One thing you will need is a USB keyboard to talk on the 360 version but I don't have to worry as my computer keyboards are all USB so I can just hook one in whenever I need it.

I went to www.playonline.com/ff11us and couldnt really find any screen shots from itdid see a nice minute long movie though

Well, first off, it's $13, not $15 if you play only one character. I grant you, it'll be $15 if you want a couple of mules, and I will admit, most people do. Second, it's not in addition to Xbox Live, because you don't need Xbox Live Gold (the one you pay for) to play it; you only need Xbox Live Silver (the one that's free).

I know that if you have the 360 version you can play with any other console system I guess...
