And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "

I'm nice in game... Not on Teamspeak or vent. Thats cause I'm with my guildmates and we have fun there.
Siehst du mich
Erkennst du mich
Ganz tief in meinem Herz
ist noch ein Platz f?r dich
Ich suche dich
Ich sehne mich
nach dem was ich geliebt hab
doch ich find es nicht
Exactly. I'm always nice to strangers in MMOs. But when playing with mates....
Though when some dickweed angers me... I usually let it go... but once in a while I can't control it...
Which FF Character Are You?
I just be myself. I have a good time and enjoy the company of the people i play with.
I'm bald and I live in and old peoples home.
Does that count?
I just be my character.
That means I consider myself, as a player, to be mature. The character may be immature, but not in the leetspeak hack'n'slash way. If there is a game where that kind of behaviour is well implemented and actual fun... But then, in most games, roleplaying a character isn't "implemented" and actual fun.
I read this cartoon somebody posted a link to (Episode 11, "Don't upset him, he's a roleplayer"): http://www.thenoobcomic.com/daily/strip011.html
That's how I'd look to most people in most games. But that's also why I don't play most games.
By "mature" I mean something else than "polite" and "nice". It is more about respecting the concept of the game. It means that if those who create a game have bothered to create a policy (surprisingly many still do this, hoping that somebody will actually respect it) I try to stick to the rules laid down. And if somebody creates a medieval world where our world never existed, I don't go about shouting "Jesus!" as it has no place in the setting. I would never have my character say "Roxxorz" (or whatever) either, unless it is very clear that this is a hack'n'chat and not a roleplaying game. Generally, I prefer games that separate themselves from real world circumstances, such as newbies being exposed and bashed. Just silly.
I mean, how does the term "noob" fit within a setting of orcs warring with humans?
The future: Adellion
Common flaw in MMORPGs: The ability to die casually
Advantages of Adellion: Dynamic world (affected by its inhabitants)
Player-driven world (beasts won't be an endless supply of mighty swords, gold will come from mines, not dragonly dens)
Player-driven world (Leadership is the privilege of a player, not an npc)
No offense, but there is no way a poll like this can ever be considered credible. The simple fact is that the majority of gamers are immature people. They may not be immature for their age, but lets face it, do you not consider yourself immature 5 years ago??
Jimmany Christmas, doublepost.
LOL exactly...
Its generally true that a 15 year old will never be as mature as a 30 YO. He may be mature for a 15 YO but people around him may still have to deal with a different mind set.

ha ha...looks like you're one of the few honest ones. I voted as always tries, but hey, it's a game, a fantasy land. Why not enjoy being who we can't be in real life and have some fun? Anyone who tries to play a "game" with the attitude and mentality that they have in the real world needs to get a life and live a little. What kills me is when I run across someone who takes their gaming seriously, like that's how they earn their living. The impression I get of those kind of folks is like the former male classmate in the Billy Madison movie who had him on a list of folks "To Kill" then puts on lipstick.

Your opinion. Playing a game in this manner could be worthwhile (although it is not what I generally seek to do). And to assume that people who do this do not also live otherwise, that is - while probably true - not fully a logical consequence. Unless you provide some chain of logic to link the two. There could be a meaningful statistical corelation, no doubt.
I wonder what you mean. Takes it seriously - in what way? Say, I take it seriously in the way that the gaming experiences I enjoy the most involve logically understandable content, and for that reason I don't like games where you go about killing without fear or underlying purpose. Maybe I'd know if I had seen the movie.

This poll wouldn't make much sense because, well immature people wouldn't know if they are....aww screw it. Ignorance is bliss
Im 40 in 4 weeks
But I resent any suggestion that I am either mature or responsible

The majority says yes, but I can tell you right now... that aint so...
Personally... I don't try to be mature or not... Just be whatever I am, and I think that' semi-mature... I don't go around PK'ing random people, scamming, calling everybody "noobs" or talking in l33t... So yeh~
