BDO speed/ability hacks going rampant

NacarioNacario Member UncommonPosts: 222
Black Desert Online is a great MMORPG, unique in its kin, but it has some major issues with hacks being easily done clientside. Sadly Daum seemes understaffed, so I urge us all to record these cheating players as many are getting away quite easily by using these hacks in a not so obvious way.

Linking an example below of a hacker that has been going rampant for 1 month without being banned.

Is it affecting your game play? Then who cares? When I play I never see these hackers.

Please dont be this naive. It affects us all, in one way or another. And this perticular guy has been going free for a month, and hes PKing ppl without giving them a fair chance of defeating him.

Hacking unfortunately is in every game. The good hackers keep it on the down low. I wouldn't let it upset you. Obviously if the player hacks in PvP it just attests to their low level skill and makes them look beyond bad.

Why ppl who plays this game still complaining about hacks?
By now everyone who still playing should have known 2 things.
    - Daum is incompetent and greedy.
    - Pearl Abyss screws up big time with the coding.
You folks already drink the Kool Aid by keep playing and throwing money at it. In addition, I suggest you put on the blind fold and keep throwing more money at PA and Daum for imaginary fix.

I can't speak for anyone else but myself, but for a Korean MMO brought over here and put out by a relatively unknown company prior to BDO, I would have to say I've been pretty surprised by the small amount of hackers and bots I've come across in comparison to other MMO's over the years. I expected it to be much, much worse. Even the gold spamming in chat that was SOOOOOOOO bad for the first two weeks has all but dwindled to a near halt. At least in comparison to how bad it was initially. But like an above poster pointed out, the really good ones you cant even notice or catch...So who really knows I guess.

Maybe I just need to play more (only one 52+ toon and two 30+ alts) to see how "rampant" it truly is, but to me, right now at least, it really seems much better than most MMO and multiplayer games. Also since it hasn't been around over here for all that long, usually these newer MMO imports get bad first few months as of late (BnS). I think the buy to play may have a bit to do with it though. Maybe.

I still feel like it is a pretty good game (not as great as some make it out to be, and not as terrible as others claim, to me/for me at least) with a decent community and a pretty decent eastern execution (in comparison to many past cluster f*^%s ) the perfect counterpart companion to FFXIV:ARR because everything this game lacks FF has and everything FF lacks for me, BDO has.

Rhetorically asking if hacking is affecting peoples' gameplay in a game with open world PvP...  *facepalm*

Lol just watching a horse strafe around looks so hilariously bad. It was way sadder than the supposed hacking.

    What level are you?
At 54+, when I have to fight for spots, yes it does affect my gameplay.
I reported and had a few people banned, but Daum wants video proof which is stupid. So now to play the fucking game, I have to have a recorder running in the background.
The best thing is, they don't really give a shit about bots. Hackers are sometimes banned, but bots are left alone, even with proof.

uhhh, who is hacking? this looks like every pvp fight I have ever seen in the game....seriously. Sorcs have stupid iframes and mobility. I don't see any hacking, I dunno.

Actually tonight some guy was running rampant on UNO (same guy for weeks now) One persons response was "well hack back" In the end some players decided to go on a hunting spree for this unkillable asshat with hacks. That's UNO's hacker hunter initiative. xD  Most players are runnign side clients to grind, some peoepl just decided to use them to grief. TBH I think Daum should just let players use hacks since most people are using them.

I don't see much blatant hacking there.  though i've seen ranger hacks which were very obvious such as non stop shot gun ability or in some cases not ranger exclusive a horse rider who can be seen riding in excess of 300 percent speed.  but other than that the game is going quite smooth, pvp is unbalance but again the intended direction was team pvp not single.  Each class has a counter though rangers seem to have the upper hand over most classes so far but that will change as awakening weapons and more balancing is made.  Like any mmo it is always a WIP an by making helpful suggestions / improvements the game will get better, for a game that is already dang fun.  Remember not everyone in the game plays pvp, most play for the pve aspect which is very compelling and interesting especially when more life skills get implemented.

That is the real issue here. A lot of people in my guild are running multiple accounts and botting/hacking on all but their main account. They gloat about it on guild chat and that just kills the gameplay for me.

You know, I would be all for this. I have been playing legitly to 58 and paying for ET's. A hacker can do the same thing with no actual effort. What is the point?

Looks like they wont really do something about it till population starts to drop. Saddly voting with money is the only way some companies listen.
