Most of Aeria's games are low servers anyway. One thing I respect about Aeria is that they tend to keep a game around for a while unless the devs just drop support.

Developers should just start putting "endings" on mmo's. I mean, most players move on nowadays anyway, why not make it a more satisfying experience?

I'm wandering (haven't been following) is this merger because the population has all but died off or have they worked on the back end and now have more of a super server style setup where the servers can hold ALOT more people and that is the reason behind the merge more so then the population dieing off.

Like I said I haven't been following the game (didn't / does not look like a good game for me).

I was about to say, based on the article : And there goes the last MMO i am waiting for!

But then I saw an unusual name in the first comment . That name is Aeria and I immediately remembered that they will publish Bless on EU/NA !

So either way , Bless Online for me, is gone!

The game is great. I have played for some time now. The game pushes grouping and many of the casuals that had flooded the game from all over have leveled off and dropped out. Even my fellow Koreans.
The core community still in place is a strong one. I see no issue with the server merges.
I welcome it and I am not the only one.
I believe this game will do better in the west than many other Eastern games have fared because the game is focused on group content and focused on more challenging play. Unlike Moonlight Blade and Black Desert.

    Thanks for the quick description.
Could I ask for a bit more about this game? Is it pve or pvp or both for example.
Unfortunately the imported games of late seem to have followed the pve until end game then forced pvp mantra - which doesn't always work in the West.
    A change would be good.

Both PvE and PvP. To many, that will draw a negative reaction. At 30ish the questing areas are contested. Towns included. You can still go to your home cities but the towns in the lvl 30 and up areas are contested. The difference in this game is the dungeons and group questing is really good. The majority of my guild just crafts and does dungeons. They are honestly some of the best dungeons I have played in a long time. Very well laid out and require real team work. Plus there are a ton of them. For all level ranges.
Is this game a classic trinity game or more along the lines of B&S and/GW2.  I'm looking forward to this and Bless.  Just hoping I can play as a tank like Tera.

I've researched this game heavily, but keep in mind I have never played it.

It looks like this game has a strong PvE element, and from what I have seen the vision for this game is based on PvE. However, in Korea MMORPGs also need a strong PvP element, or they will miss out on a lot of players. Bless was designed from the ground up to keep both 'factions' happy, although hardcore PvPers are going to need to PvE to get their stuff up to par, and PvEers are going to have to enter PvP zones.

Of course you are going to have griefers, and gankers, and whateverers. But from what I read on the Korean forums (very tedious reading btw, reading Korean translated to English with Google Translate) these problems are small. Bless lives and dies on its group content, and it seems that most PvP is hunter groups looking for other hunter groups.

Once again, keep in mind that I have never played this game, and we don't know how what kind of changes will happen when the game is Westernized for EU/US servers. But I think this one will be a big hit. For whatever some people may think of BDO, it is a hit in the west, and I think Bless will be bigger because of its very strong PvE content.

The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!

Basis for AA being a disaster.  I haven't logged on in a few months, but pop always seemed ok.  Other than the hysteria on the forums.

I don't get the sense that it's a hit, but neither do I get the sense that it's been a disaster.

Because Aeria Games is the publisher?

Because on these forums every game is dying, realeased or not, finished or not.  <3

Group focused PvE with aggressive microtransactions.  There is no faster way to disaster.   I would be surprised if it isn't down to 2 servers within 12 months after NA release.

I haven't spent a dime on the game. Loving every minute of it.
Hopefully it will not end up like implementation of NA ArcheAge.
