Panzer Dragoon Meets MMO

Riders of Icarus is an upcoming free-to-play MMO by game developer WeMade and publisher Nexon. Icarus puts an interesting focus on mounted aerial warfare, reminding me a bit of the Panzer Dragoon game series.

The only thing that stands out in this game are the 200 mobs you can tame, wich 150 of them are copy paste with different skin colour and 20 exclusive cash shop and 30 you can get with epic ultra rare mindnumbing- 24/7- grind. Lets not forget the newest class in korea- the pedo female only fairy.
Since that othe pokemon game is dead, this one will find its audience i guess.

Well I've heard from the people who play on the private server the game is actually pretty good.
Also, the game is a huge success in Asia so I am, like I said, secretly hyped.

I didn't get very far in the beta since they didn't offer inverted camera. I know its typical for a Korean game, but it is still disappointing none the less (for me).

Also, before anyone brings it up; I've been playing this way for decades, and if a game studio wants my money, I expect inverted camera controls to be on the client side. It doesn't take much effort to offer the option.

oh god its another clone of dragons profit (prophet) lol, there were 6 skins of dragons and just color swaps only if you wanted to pay 100$ for a unquie one

I don't think that's a real issue, I mean it's something that can always be implemented. And if not you can always invert mouse through windows. Not a big deal.

After playing one of the beta sessions, can't say I was impressed. The taming of different animals/pets adds a bit of flavour, but not enough.

All in all it feels like several other eastern MMOs with different window dressing.

Ive played both and this game is way more fun. Its very easy to pick up and get started, something many MMOs fail to do and thereby end up...well....failing! Definitely try it for yourself, its worth a look.

I have issues with that as well. Though I like the game and have played it quite a bit there are small design flaws that total up to be a big deal. Saying that I plan on playing at release. The PVP is good times.

What kind of PvP it got on offer?

Hope I can get into beta since i never got lucky to get a key, liked dragons prophet but it lacked content when you reached end game

Dragon's Prophet lacked a lot of things right from the get go. Probably was the roughest mmo I've ever played that wasn't beta/early access status.

Im in beta and the game is not that bad..its not the best but it will do as a drug until something better comes out

Got into the last beta and was very slow levelling, mounts werent really that fast even with sprint on.

A little bit was wrong with the game which they hopefully get the devs to fix when they release it properly. Though I'm doubtful since it is from korea if im not mistaken
