- We've seen people post misinformation to delude potential players from joining the game. I don't see the point in going this far to hate a game personally.
- We've seen people exaggerate to prove their biased points.
- We've seen people lie and when the "white knights" as you call them show they are wrong with proof the majority that don't have any interest in the game ignore them and keep believing the lies.
Yet if a person that plays the game comes and says they are wrong. they are white knights/fanboys whatever you want to call them.
Nice logic mate.
Ps: All games are released to make money, they are not a charity case. Till the cash shop doesn't have anything remotely to p2w (If exp boost is p2w almost all mmos are p2w), I have nothing to say in that regrad.

It seems to me that people get annoyed when others do not agree with their points of view and feel it is their right to dictate to others what they should like, failing which insult and ridicule them out of frustration. Seems to me the problem here is with the people who cannot understand that everyone is entitled to like or dislike a game without having to justify it.
I feel that our gaming community has become so mean and nasty that they even begrudge others their interest and try to shame them into agreeing with them and that is called bullying in my book.
How many times have people continuously said that SWTOR has failed and yet it seems to be making money and still going in spite of the predictions of its closure from the very beginning. Games that the haters claim have failed still go on and are miraculously even making money. I'd say that this proves that they are just saying 'fail' for dramatic effect but it's often not supported by any facts.
I mean, if you must insult people for no reason other than disagreeing with them, at least have the decency to come up with something original.
About white-knighting... Actually, in my eyes, any advices that look like "this activity is bad, regardless of who you are" are bad advices. Actually, these are not even advices. "Don't do that because I say so". Ok, I'm gonna try and tell you later what I think (or maybe I won't tell you, because you think really short-minded).

It is, unfortunately, the same old. I don't like X so no one should like X. Anyone that does like X is a ________ (insert your preferred insult) and I will continue to troll/flame/harass them as much as possible until they_______ (See things my way? insert your favorite unicorn here).
We really need to stop entertaining these types of things. I realize what I just did before anyone feels the need to point it out.
At any rate, the game itself is fine and everything is going as per the norm.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

Every game has fanbois - nature of the beast. They are spineless lap dogs yes, but there is no escaping them.
