Wanna play Guild Wars??? DONT!!

My topic says it all. This is one of the worst MMORPG's I have ever played. First of all, there is crappy game play, I almost fell asleep on my keyboard playing this game. Their is a very immature community who dance around all day and check each other out. The instance zones arent bad considering you get henchman, but still, its not that fun. I think the only reason why anyone likes this game is because it's free. The only positive I give this game is that it has great PvP.

    You know... THere's a reason it's called Guild Wars...

    I love the pvp aspect of the game...

    And I'll agree that the pve content isn't all that...

    Well, yeah, it would seem pretty lack luster to your average MMORPG player. And yes, for the most part the community is very immature.

    So, play it, just don't expect it to be much for than PvP.

    I'm pretty much done with it myself, but I'm gonna be on for the factions preview event:)

    Man y u got to be hating on guild wars

    this game has its positive and negatives

    all in all the positve make up for the negatives

    thats y people should play guild wars

    they should play it if they like mmorp games

    they should play it if they like larger enviroments to explore

    they shouldn't listen to u because people have their own opinions about wats lame and wats kool

    LOL!! I like how he basically reassessed himself in the end and determined why Guild Wars is actually a good game.  Of course the PvE is terrible!!!

    But there's no better PvP on the market.  I doubt he even played the competitive PvP aspect.  Sounds like he ran around Pre-Searing for about 10 minutes and quit.

    Heh - its funny all this Guild Wars bashing. I really dont see the need. Guild Wars has really changed the way MMO's run. First is it the only one without a subscription fee and also has streaming updates and a heap of things im not going to go into. If you want and in depth discussion of the game - check out the interview on gaming steves website - http://www.gamingsteve.com/archives/2006/03/gaming_steve_ep_41.php - You might change your mind then. Anyway, Ill go away enjoying it, no need to bash a game you havent tried.

    I havent played WoW - So i cant say its crap, its for a different style of player.

    I like GW and I'm more of a PvE player then PvP. And once you get to know a few people in the game it gets even better! ::::02::

    Sorry man i've been playing video games since Mario was new, and I and sick of playing the computer. PVE who cares. IMHO every monster in the game should be a real person. every strategy to killing any AI moster is posted somewhere, on some forum.

    OP is wrong.  Guild Wars is fine for what it is.  The MMORPG part is really designed to get you prepped and ready for the PvP part, which is the main focus of the game.  Gotta give it street cred for what it is.  I don't play GW anymore as I prefer full-on MMORPG (WoW for now), but GW is great for what it intends to provide.  And *all* MMORPG's lately have got their share of dancing naked noobs.

    IMMATURE COMMUNITY?!?!?!?!!? wrong game it isnt WoW. this game isnt "the best" but there isnt such a game out there. Ive been playing GW since beta and i find that its one of my faves because of the fact that everyone on there is nice who dont try to rip u off for so called rare items/weapons. you guys dont like it dont no one cares about ur whinning and balling thats what mothers are for lol. GW has one of the best communitites out there that really care for their game. who cares what it doesnt do its a game thats doing more successful than ANYONE ever thought it would.

    Yeah, Guild Wars is all about the PvP part. Yes, there's a PvE part, but it's mostly preperation for PvP. Sad thing is, the PvP can REALLY bite if you don't know many people, or if you're in a small or bad Guild. It's also pretty sad if you've been playing for a while and everyone else you know doesn't play anymore.

    I've found the PvE to be enjoyable, but I took the time to find out what was going on. And to all those whiners that cried because I hadn't seen a cutscene before, TOUGH. At least now I know what the story is about, and it's pretty good. Best ever? No, but passable, which is a far sight better than most MMO's.
