Crazy idea I just had...

I wonder what kind of response we would get as a community if one by one we all took the time to call LucasArts (not SOE) and specifically tried to order Star Wars Galaxies Pre-CU.  Like call the online store to place the order, and once they have gathered the information, confirm with the salesperson that we were buying Pre-CU.  Once the sales person informed us it was not available, cancel the order.  Big companies analyze order processes to see how they can improve the process.  If they got 100-10000 order cancellations it might make them step back a second...then again probably not.

That makes sense, but unfortunately SOE does not do anything logically.

Not so Crazy an idea bro.  But let's expand upon it image

It's a little known fact that "word-of-mouth" can an affect anything in today's age.

Why not use this to our advantage.

    Round 1 -

First-thing is first...   Boycott all LA & SOE related software.  That's what I've done.  I've purchased numerous games from Lucas Arts in the past including the Dark Forces & Jedi Knight series of games as well as both Knights of the Old Republic, along with other games that I bought so many years ago, the only thing I can remember about it was that it was cartoony and it involved a guy on a motorcycle.  Hopefully that says how long I've been a customer.  Well now, I don't purchase any software from LA, and believe me it hurts.  They just released Empire at War, and I really wanted to get it, but I am taking my stance, and I'm not budging.  I also check every game that i am interested in does not invole SOE in any way.

    Round 2 -

Just say NO!!!! It's time to cancel any SOE accounts/subscriptions you have.  Make sure you are not giving them any of your money.  With a big hit by numerous folks, their bottom line will begin to drop.  Maybe this will force them to make changes in their practices.

    Round 3 -

The internet is our friend.  If you feel they have poor business practices, post them on the internet in stores  like Amazon where people purchase their software.  Don't just limit it to SWG, post  information about their customer support and dealings on all of their products.  Let people know what kind of company they will be dealing with, if they purchase their hosted and supported products.  Provided detailed examples, not just blatant hatred for them in your posting.  Do your due diligence to make sure no one gets treated unfairly as many of us have by their recent business decisions.  You can also post in unbiased sites such as this one, Gamespot, and the list goes on.

    Round 4 -

A friend is friend, is a friend... Encourage your friends to cancel all subscriptions to any SOE game they have at this time.  Of course you won't get everyone to do it, but there could be a few of them.  Your best potential for making this work is to find a game that he/she might like that is similiar that the both of you can play.  Get him/her to play that more often, and he/she might be convinced that it makes more sense to quite paying for a subscription that isn't used that often, in this case any SOE product.  Sometimes a good friend will go along for the ride just because they are your friend.

    Round 5 -

The Death of Salesman... When you are out and about, and shopping in those CompUSA, Best Buy, Circuit City type stores, if you see someone with one of these products in hand.  Stop them from buying that game!  Tell them about your experiences with SOE.  You'll be surprised how many will put that down and buy something else.

    Final Round -

Call Lucas Arts Customer Service, and SOE Customer Service and let them know that you won't be a customer of theirs, and why.  Send them e-mails telling them why you won't purchase their products and let them know that you are passing the word along to others out in the world.

Maybe...just maybe, they will get our point, and if they don't eventually they'll realize what they did wrong when they are out of business.

To expand on this I have already submitted a complaint about SOE buisness practices to the Better Buisness Bureau of California. They sent me a letter back saying they dont take up individual claims (Obvisouly) but they will "file it" with the other complaints received. You can file your complaint electronically at  http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportPage_Expository.aspx?CompanyID=13139485 . Since people are organizing might as well do it correctly. Keep in mind if you do something make sure you think it out and not jsut rant on. Have a specific complaint and be adult about it.

    Just my 2 cents worth.
