    I didn't play the first one, but the second one brought me a lot hours of fun! would love a 3rd one or even a MMO version

    Funny, I had the exact same experience.  Loved the first one.  Was really excited for the second one.  Never really hooked me like the first.  Maybe I had another game I as into at that time.  I don't recall tbh.  It wasn't a bad game though.

    I didn't get a chance to play the first one, but I played the hell out of the second game. It was a nice Diablo III alternative that turned out to be better in some ways.

    The first one I loved so much I owned it on PC and console. The second one was a pile of garbage. Very few usable builds, performance issues (not on my current PC), poorly done story, and a lot of class abilities were just re-skins from the first game. Not to mention they trashed plans for the MMO, despite bringing in PWE and the very enthusiastic fans eager for it. I wouldn't have minded much, but the way they kept it very low-key and just acted like the plans didn't exist was incredibly patronizing. 

    Hob does look interesting though. The main protagonist looks like the result of a drunken one-nighter between Hellboy and a Jawa, or maybe Vivi from FFIX.

    Yep. It was supposed to come after Torchlight. They said they would use the funds from it to make the MMO version. They went silent about the MMO then used the same reason as to why there to making Torchlight 2.. so they could use the money to make the MMO.

    I think they have given up on the MMO. 

    I thought the first game was cool and showed promise.. The second to me was just garbage.
