Hi
I am in beta 3 or is it 2 hmmm well this Riders of icarus seems to be a great mmorpg even if you think oh no yet another game, then this has the taming mount feature..and you can even make em to ur own minion to fight for you and tame a new mount..even some boss pets can be tamed.
It has the crafting and gathering mines and shrums ect not sure yet else yet due to im low lvl.
- Solo dungeons
- Lots of quest
- Flying mounts later in the game
- Great detailed gfx
- Good character creation ( not detailed like BDO but still great )
- Great animated and visual effects skills
- Gear enchants and socket seal stone gear
- Havent tested pvp yet but i bet its good
- aim or classic target system like wow
- I think its free top play
So when this game releases im gona sugegst you to get in to this game
Comments
- Need a pretty solid machine to play on full graphics. Im running with a 980GTX with no problem.
- Limited Classes Guardian/Rogue/ Berserker/ Healer/ Wizard
- No Race Choices currently
Im sure there are other Cons but Im not far enough in to know them.Overall this game seems solid. Unsure of End game atm and thats a big one for me.
Time will tell.
Definitely worth trying.

Character creation is decent, nothing great, but it's not bad either.
The instanced areas are large and very, very empty.
The combat is potato. It's hotbar combat, they try to hide it by allowing you to use the LMB and RMB to cast skills but it's done poorly and using the hotbars is quicker and more responsive.
They didn't take any time to polish anything in the game. Some of the textures are very poorly done.
Questing is the aweful and typical kill x and get y.
Voice acting is cringe worthy (at least it's there though)
You can spam the "F" button causing NPC's to glitch the first millisecond of dialogue. Funny the first time.
Limited mobs spawn in an area so if it's crowded fighting for quest updates gets annoying quickly. Same for item pickups for quests.
There could be more good I haven't gotten to yet, I could only play to level 12, but there is too much bad to allow myself to continue anymore than that.
I just waited at a spot where players wanted to tame a named wolf and kept attacking it as soon as it spawned. This is griefing. I only did it to see if it was an actual thing.
Graphics... they seem nice, but there's almost something like a blur effect or something around the terrain. Best way to describe it is like watching a modern 3D film without the glasses on, though nowhere near as severe. 15 minutes and my eyes are aching from the strain, and I can't find an option that has anything to do with it. It's not the HDR, which I turned off because it's absolutely horrible.
Graphics issues aside, it's an okay game. I could see myself playing it a little, but other than the mount system and flying combat, there's nothing it does that other games don't do better. Plus it's a Nexon game, so pay to win is a concern.
AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!
We are born of the blood. Made men by the blood. Undone by the blood. Our eyes are yet to open. FEAR THE OLD BLOOD.

Whats wrong with with tab target and "hot bar" combat? Personally I'm tired of every mmo trying to follow this action combat, "skill based" fad. As if aiming is the only "skill" in gaming. Combat isn't great here, but it seemed somewhat responsive at least.
The game seemed decently polished and ran pretty well for the couple hours or so I played. I mean I don't go out of my way to analyze every texture, but nothing really stood out to me as "very poorly done".
maybe I just did enough damage to steal the tag from the quest mobs I faced, but it seemed like anyone who tags a mob get credit. The spawn rate seemed fine to me, took about 15 seconds for a named guy to respawn and I never had trouble finding normal mobs.
Anyways the game seems decent enough. I'm probably a little more positive than I should be since I went into the beta expecting complete garbage and found a playable game. I don't think I would go out of my way to recommend it and I'm not sure I'll even play, but if you're desperate to find a new mmo it might be worth trying or something....
Otherwise.. its back to Tera.
It's one of the most generic pieces of crap to be released in the last 7 years.
The industry's moved on; nobody cares about games like this unless they're babbies to the MMORPG genre.
Play Vindictus or even Dragon Nest instead; so much better games. Hell, Guild Wars is now free to play too, so much better. Or Black Desert, if you want to pay an upfront fee.
There is no reason for this game to even exist, or for Nexon to even be publishing it when their other games outclass it in every possible way.
Nothing's really grabbed me about the game either. I might give it another shot tomorrow with a clear head.
As for the Riders, its not a bad game at all. It has its issues just like every other game.

you wat m8.... that named wolf is a quest mob people need to kill to advance in the storyline....
people actually form groups to get the kill for multiple people at once
the people trying to tame it are griefing the people that want to move on
plus there is multiple channels per zone... so i mean switch if need be
