The Razer Naga has been on of PC gaming’s mainstays in mice for MMOs for some time now. But some folks prefer its cousin, the Hex, which is custom made for MOBA gaming with its 6 side buttons in a circle. Well, the Hex V2 is here, and it sports an upgraded look, feel, performance and an extra side button to make the Hex for more than just MOBAs now.

I like Razers' mice and the Naga is also one of only I believe 3 options if looking for 12+ buttons, along with the Corsair Scimitar, and Logitech G600. That being said, if an MMO specific mouse is what you are looking for then the G600 is by far unmatched with it's G-Shift key that turns the 1-12 number pad into Ctrl 1-12, making a whopping 24 keys.

I don't think I'd ever part with my G600. That being said, the Logitech software was a bit wonky, but low and behold I uninstalled and downloaded a newer version of the software and so far haven't had a hitch.

Looks like a great mouse, a good article, but nowhere near enough buttons for me at least.

aka Bill get's a free new mouse and in return writes good things about it.

$79.99 is not exactly entry level for a mouse and probalby includes a bit too much "additional razer charge", but then a good mouse usually serves me many years while taking alot of abuse. By my experience it is not worth to settle with el cheapo input devices, as you will most likely buy a better piece soon after. I smashed alot of crappy keyboards and mouses on my head before i learned to better go for the better brands.

I'm not sure if the many thumb buttons set in a circle would be my thing. Would be interesting to know the weight of the Razer Hex V2.

I'm not keeping it, was going to give it away on the site. But not to YOU, now.

How does it feel? It looks a bit like my death adder and I've never found a mouse so comfortable. I havn't switched to a gaming mouse with more buttons because none of them ever feel as comfortable as my old DA.

I love my Naga 2015, and that's exactly what it feels like. Heft, but not too heavy, smooth movement, and a nice matte finish.

Razors are ok for casuals. I prefer the rats due to customization options.

I have the regular Naga Hex right now with the 6 buttons on the side and I love it. I didn't even know they were coming out with a new one so this is interesting to hear. I like the 6 buttons I have but 7 can't hurt. I suppose once this one dies I'll have to check out the V2. I've had this for 4 years now with no sign of slowing down haha, so definitely worth the $80 (yes the V1 was the same price years ago when it came out).

I'd be interested to know how the side buttons on V2 are compared to V1. Didn't the V1 use higher quality buttons than the Naga 12 button version?

Are the side buttons for V2 mechanical like V1?
I much prefer side 6 over side 12 because I set up all movement keys on my mouse back, forward, strafe leaving my left hand free for actions. I hate wsad movement with a passion!

Looks like its getting to where I personally want a mouse. Would love one with 8 buttons on the thumb side. I have the Naga now but 12 seems to much even in a mmorpg I tend to put only so many skills down on a hot bar before I go to other bar options that I can rotate through for organization reasons.

I also do play a lot of the games where less buttons is better for as well so 8 to me seems the magic number though the upgrade to 7 with this current version makes it possible option if my current one ever dies.
