    So Riders of Icarus allows you to tame a mount, use them and forge a bond, then kill your loyal mount in a sealing ritual?

    That's really twisted and evil. I don't want to be that kind of hero.

    Guys, get over yourself. What type would you rather be, AFK-fishing type? It is a decent game.

    I agree. I played a bit the beta and I was surprised to find that I actually liked the game. I'm not going to buy a founder pack, but once it goes f2p(1 week later if I'm not mistaken) I'll probably play it.
    As long as there is no p2w feature the game is decent for casual play. I don't know how's the end-game content, so I can't comment if you can play this game seriously, but casually it's a fun game.

    Yup I was expecting complete garbage, but found it surprisingly mediocre. I'll attempt to play for a couple weeks or so when the f2p launches, might even buy a founders pack if I'm bored enough.

    heavy crazy p2w garbage game. I know it because ive played in a privat server to lvl 60 as Archer. Now the whole evil core of this game is designed for p2w. It is IMPOSSIBLE to advance at max lvl without p2w. You get cash shop buffs for any stat you can imagine also eluns wich you get for free (15 pieces) as daily quest wont get you anywhere. Any cashshopper advance in this game about 5000% faster then you ever will as f2p player. Lets not mention the recycled monsters with different colours and the heavy grind to get the drops to make a talisman to be able to mount rare monsters- wich has also a 50%-70% failrate while forging that item. Lets not forget the perfect design for botters to farm gold n this game.

    Wish I had a dollar for everytime 'mount' was written. Nothing about PvP. Nothing about end game. What's max level? Highly focused article.

    I will not be playing the game but I am not going to sit here and bash it like most people do here. The game is not bad but just not what I am looking for.

    he also carried thunderbolts for zeus.

    You can either buy into the my litte pony generation or the actual mythology where he came from. Oh yeah, Medusa gave birth to him.

    This game is so 2000 and late and it sjust another game on the shelf..prepare to be dusty and forgotten among all the other games...this game litterly sucks..its just dragon prophecy all over again..and its NEXON !Q!  avoid nexon like cancer

    This game is garbage. Played the beta, maxed out. Nothing fun about it. And also Nexon? Hilarious. Too bad all these shady publishers killed their reputation.

    how can somone be so blind and think a p2w designed game will be different? what we got on that privat server were the buffs you otherwise pay heavy cash on the official server. They wont change a p2w game cause you wish it to be that way, salty fool.

    Still waiting for the dev blog Nexon said they'd publish "very soon" detailing the cash shop or plans for it. I thought of buying Founders, but their silence combined with locking cash shop threads has not been a good impression for me.

    It's a decent game, but very generic. If you've ever played Tera the questing and quest hubs are almost exactly the same. All their hype about story and companionship is pretty inaccurate.
    The tutorial started off interesting and then you realize that your first 10 quests involve killing angry boars..killing more angry boars.. collecting items..then killing wolves...I stopped reading. As for companions, you tame them and then seal/kill them to upgrade gear, it's a really awkward system lol

    Pay to win doesn't bother me as much, just as long as the premium monthly sub isn't as poor as Archeage's is. With no cash shop, progression was stand alone however, it was very slow going in the beginning. I wouldn't try to race to endgame since you'll miss a lot of mounts, which are important later on for the buffs as pets in dungeons, not to mention seals for not only gear enhancement but for buying talent points.

    As long as they don't press the cash market too hard to the point you must buy from it in order to progress, that if you do pay a monthly fee you do have consistent progression.

    lol, people writing that they'll play a Nexon MMO if there's no "P2W feature" ... that's like saying the planet Earth is flat even though you got 500 proof that it's round, we call this "being in denial", a plague that hits 95% of the MMO population.

    Seriously, it's so funny to read most of you people that you're worried about cash shop and the silent treatment, get a damn hold of yourselves, it's Nexon and you should all know by now that Nexon is the king when it comes to P2W cash grabbing MMO's, jeez you people, lol.

    I'll even up the ante with a SPOILER : Pssst! Riders of Icarus will totally be P2W!

    Premium is apparently character specific and not account wide. There are a bunch of threads on that as well with no answer.

    This game is %100 pay to win, sadly as otherwise its a decent title for the genre. If you want to play without $ its a waste of time, they claim to be not pay to win which is currently "subject to change" however, all the core pay to win elements are still coded into the versions we have played,
    avoid like the plauge.

    Well the mounts in the founders packs lacks the mythic resilience of heroic mounts, so no resistance to weather debuffs, you can't make pets out of them or make them into seals. So they will forever take up your slots. I stopped using the blue dragon as soon as i got Vulkanus.

    When I saw the bank space didn't share between characters that was a red flag for me.  Most things seem limited to one character.

    UHH - no - the beta max was 25 and the game max is higher than that.

    This game was super fun during beta. It has action combat, nice enough graphics, dungeon, raids, pvp. Taming all sorts of mounts. Seriously, what more can someone ask for? It is the number 3 game in South Korea.
