Sony's been on a roll since the PS4 launched, and it looks like they're just gathering speed now, lol
SONY doing pretty well with PS4 titles. Sadly (for me) most of them are Western titles and not too many RPGs. Looks like PS4 will be much like PS2 was where the number of RPGs published is lower than on the previous console (PS1 & PS3 both having quite a lot of very memorable RPG titles).
Except for the fact that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild looked more interesting than anything else at E3. That Nintendo can manage that when it was the only game they brought to the show says bad things about the state of the industry.
Personally, I really wish they'd just ditch the damn speakers and announcers altogether and make it demos only.

Assuming that's true... What is so bad or new about Zelda stealing the show?

Because after all this time, Nintendo is still one of the only companies who seems to remember what games are supposed to be about: having fun. While the other companies spend E3 talking about how they're going innovative and bring more excitement to their games, Nintendo shows it. Say what you want about the WiiU's lackluster sales, the system has a damn fine library of games for it. I've purchased more games for it than I have any console since the Nintendo 64 (though I'm primarily a PC gamer).
It's sad and bad because it shouldn't be like that - we need the developers who are more concerned about making fun games and less about box sales. That Nintendo's the only one who consistently does so is just annoying.

It's not because developers aren't concerned about making fun games. It's because they NEED the box sales to actually accommodate for the extreme costs of developing now a days. It's too much of a risk to do anything crazy or just make a game that's fun, which is why all the games that do that are indie games who have no publisher or a publisher that is very lenient. And companies who know their fans will eat it up like Nintendo who have nothing to really lose at this point since they have so much in the bank that they can risk it. I want games that are just fun, and not trying to break every cinematic experience, or 800k hours of gameplay with an insane multiplayer that has a billion microtransactions, but I know the reality of development costs, and how much publishers require developers to churn out now a days. It's stupid, and the industry needs to have a revamp of new titles, not another COD release every year, or Assassins Creed every year.
I feel like, given the level of competition these days, it would be hard for Sony to not win. I can't remember the last time something Xbox-related really impressed me. And, Nintendo... well, they are... just going on being Nintendo.
Basically, the way I see the console war nowadays is like this:
Microsoft spends time trying to create some TV-computer hybrid. Sony spends time actually producing games.
More backwards-compatibility wouldn't hurt, though.
Saying that someone "got" this E3 is just bad. I agree that Sonys games were amazing, but then on the other hand.. Microsoft announced a new console (I don't count the mini as new). Buut.. PC Master Race!
The whole "X 'won' E3" thing is another sad indictment of what gaming has become: A pathetic exercise in ludicrous hype, confirmation bias, and slavering support for corporations that don't deserve it because of the bizarre belief that if console X "wins", whatever the hell that means, that makes anyone who bought one a better person.
Or... Who the hell knows what?
How many "Best of E3" games never made it out the door, launched buggier than an antfarm, or just turned out to be pure shit?
It's a long, long list.
Watch the demos, trailers, and all the rest and think "Huh, interesting, have to watch and see how that comes out at launch"?
Sensible.
Watch and run to the forums to declare "X company won!!!1111!!!1!!!"?
I have to say i'm very excited for many of those upcoming PS4 games.
With that said, the new Zelda will definitely make me join the Nintendo bandwagon. I just need more info on NX, if it doesnt read WiiU games i'll just get a WiiU instead and drown in all Nintendo offline JRPGs + Zeldas for a long time. I haven't owned (not owned but played many) a Nintendo platform since the original GBA.
EDIT: after reading somewhere else that W10's xbox one games will be just windows store "apps" i'm not sure i want to play them on PC so the XBO Slim sounds interesting for its exclusives, after it hits the $200 dollar markdown. As exciting as the Scorpio sounds, if i ever join XB this generation it'll be on the cheap since it wont be my main driver.
I love the God of War series but am I the only one who was extremely bothered by the super close over the shoulder camera used in the game. Sadly unless they give an option to change the camera, that is a deal breaker for me. It just feels way to awkward to me.
Someone said Battlefront and Resident Evil will come out in VR. Battlefront should do well and we'll see if long play times are possible.

Pathetic.
Gamers are easily their own worse enemy.

Nintendo ought to be ashamed with all their censorship lately, especially of fire emblem/#FE I take them out of the E3 running! At least NOA.
