First Alpha Event Takes Place This Weekend - LawBreakers News

Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Productions is hosting the first LawBreakers alpha weekend for its first title. The event will take place today and tomorrow for approximately 12 hours each day. This is the first in the series of alpha events that will take place throughout the summer that will eventually lead to the Early Access phase on Steam later in 2016.

    battleborn isnt a shooter... or atleast is far less a shooter than overwatch or lawbreakers

    I am in the alpha and played a few matches and it just felt off for some reason. It doesn't feel as smooth as Overwatch and visually I preferred the original art design they were using.

    Well it is in Alpha so smoothness will come. Overwatch Alpha was not smooth either. Beta was.
    Visually I prefer the more serious visual tone over the cartoony look of TF2, Battleborn and Overwatch.
    That is just a preference thing though.


    Yeah, I think the cartoony look is very over-used these days. I'd love a good shooter with realistic character models.

    Played the alpha. Feels very meh tbh. The character with the daggers, forget her name, seemed extremely OP in comparison. The base move speed is extremely slow (unless you use your movement skill of course, but there's a cooldown for it). I can stream it tomorrow to show my point. It just didn't feel right.

    Care to explain that? OW is ridiculously casual. Lawbreakers aims for faster/more accurate FPS gameplay

    Nothing to explain other then I think OW is better. Want me to change my opinion because a couple of you think I should?
    It felt like I was a monkey swinging from tree to tree, not my style, as a matter of fact I hated it. So yes OW is better in every way.

    So you played Hellion/Kitsune exclusively to form your opinion of the entire game, then?  Because, having played it extensively enough (or, hell, just taken the time to do any research on the game, even) to make an informed opinion, you'd know that the Assassin class is the only class with the grappling hook and that the other classes have different movement abilities, right?

    I love the characters in Overwatch but after playing this alpha yesterday i can see myself playing this one instead. It is very smooth but gameplay feels more active and varied (gravity and verticality) than OW. Hopefully it will have enough game modes and maps which is severely lacking in OW and why i havent bought it. And im surprised an alpha stage game that looks like this running at a smooth 100+fps at all times.

    Lol, don t like someone not liking your precious, please. I ll move on when I feel like it. Letting people know whats better isn t a bad thing, all IMO, of course.

    You talk about how such and such is better then OW all the time, deal with it, it will be around for a long time and more then likely be the one standing in the end. Don t like it don t comment.
