New Team Sport Game Mode Launches - Warframe News

Digital Extremes has announced the first of three upcoming patches to Warframe. Lunaro is a new team-based sport within the game that challenges groups of four to defend their goal while simultaneously trying to shoot the "Lunaro" (the ball) through the opponent's goal.

    Well, it certainly has more game modes and maps for less money. The only reason why i have not paid for OW. I got tired of escorting the bomb and attack/defend in open beta.

    Over watch and warframe are completely different. If your gonna compare it, compare it to other online shooters with rpg elements and massive loot like destiny, defiance, firefall, or the division.

    If anything, this game mode is more like rocket league. Which is a nice change of pace for the game in my opinion.

    nah..good old bombing run from unreal tournament looks way better than this...btw..overwatch is very casual fps nothing special..but so well balanced!

    Again they are completely different and yet Warframe was still impacted by Overwatch.


    Many completely different games got impacted - like I said look at steam charts it shows a 2 million player dip - that wasn't just games like Overwatch



    That's true but I'm not 100% sold that this is purely because of Overwatch right now (the game mode in Warframe). They needed something different to add, and maybe the devs were fans of Rocket League seeing as this game mode looks a lot like it. It works with the engine and how fluid the gameplay is. I'm enjoying Overwatch quite a bit but I can tell you that 99% of my friends who played it are now back to playing random games on steam again, any time Blizzard releases a game, people go try it, a lot of them go right back to what they were doing after a day or two.

    i dont see how overwatch has anything to do with the lunaro update and comparing every bloody game against overwatch is simply pathetic
