This game lends itself well to the VR experience.

Looks like it could be fun... meh, I'll probably never buy it, but I can see how it might be pretty scary in VR. I'd have been  totally clever and named it Resident Evil VR, shortened REVR, and then I'd have the story based around some new zombie called the Reaver.

He'd be trying to steal your brains through the whole thing. And a total ripoff of Nemesis, except he'd be like "REAVEY REAVEY ROOO" instead of "STAAAARRSS.." Yeah, it'd be the best, you guys don't even know.

I saw their E3 vid a few days back.  I think it looks really fun.  And, it's definitely 100% designed for VR.  In so designing it specifically as a VR product, I feel like they should have named it something else instead of giving it the sequential number.
I really don't like when game series completely change the way their games work but don't change the name at all.  It's definitely going to be an RE horror game, but it's definitely not a sequel of any sorts to the previous numbers.  I mean, they changed the name on other RE games like Umbrella Chronicles, etc., so I don't really get why they didn't just call it something like RE: Virtual Nightmare or something.  My title rant has ended.

This is the perfect type of game for VR.  If RE3 had been in VR back when I first played that game... when Nemesis jumped through that window, I probably would have leapt through mine into the yard.

I'm all for more VR suitable games, but I do worry that alot of game companies are going to "go all in" and screw up their well-established IPs.  Note:  I don't think this is a problem for the new RE, just because it looks pretty awesome, but in general...
