Sony's been on a roll since the PS4 launched, and it looks like they're just gathering speed now, lol
SONY doing pretty well with PS4 titles. Sadly (for me) most of them are Western titles and not too many RPGs. Looks like PS4 will be much like PS2 was where the number of RPGs published is lower than on the previous console (PS1 & PS3 both having quite a lot of very memorable RPG titles).
Say what? PS2 has a literal shit ton of rpgs. Don't know how you even come close to figuring PS3 had more, or even the same amount. The complete lack of rpgs compared to PS2 is why I shelved my PS3 and why I won't buy a PS4.

justmemyselfandi It might be all about interest for what kind of RPGs you're looking for. I agree that the PS2 did have quite a number of RPGs, but from my experience (bought a PS2 trice to try) it was mainly action RPGs and not oldschool like the ones BioWare makes, or Japanese RPGs at all (thanks to region locking). That's where my interest for RPGs is, and also the reason why I'm very happy with my PS3. Also worth to note that for the PS3 a lot of old series that were released in Japan only are now being translated into English and released on PS3 (and PS4 has made a start there wel) - BandaiNamco is one of those publishers that's doing that, and XSeed Games is busy on older Falcom games.
ElRenmazuo Star Ocean V will also be released for PS4 - I'm so excited for that! I only fear that it won't be released in the EU on disc though, so I guess I'll have to import my copy from either the US or Hong Kong...
Going through that 1st page of the PS2 list I already see a lot of RPGs that are not 'classical' jRPGs and a number of pure action RPGs (for which I have totally no interest), while the 1st page for the PS3 shows mainly those 'classical' jRPGs.
An other thing you most likely did not take into account is that (as usual) in the EU a lot of titles have not been released while they were released in NA (NIS is one such publishers that only publishes in the US). So perhaps for you as (possible) NA gamer are in luck, but as EU player I've missed out a lot of very good jRPGs.
Will keep the PS2 list handy and see which jRPGs are really worth to get and check eBay if I can get them - the PS2 emulator is still working on my PC
Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War look awesome. Death Stranding looks crazy, but hard to tell from a vague cinematic.
It's interesting to see where Kojima took his Reedus colllab game after they cancelled their plans for Silent Hill: Daryl's Doom ( ). I think it will be a unique experience.

Days Gone looks like an awesome zombie game, I like how they just come in swarms and are overwhelming.

Whats even more interesting about Days Gone is that i keep hearing about those zombies not being actual zombies, and needing water and food. Looks like they are heavily infected but still have some humanity in them.. If that is true then that's a breath of fresh air for the zombie genre. Somewhat closer to the infected (not clickers) in The Last of Us.

Somebody, somewhere has better skills as you have, more experience as you have, is smarter than you, has more friends as you do and can stay online longer. Just pray he's not out to get you.

I didn't care for any of the SONY titles from E3 personally. They do have a ton of content coming out which is great. However, I'm more interested in the new Legend of Zelda above all else.

I'm not really interested in games that look like movies with shallow gameplay. You have to do better than pretty graphics these days, pretty much all big budget games have amazing graphics at this point. Its time developers start focusing on deep gameplay mechanics.
I long for a day when the competition between vendors is judged by performance of the devices alone and not by which exclusives they managed to acquire.
