Carbine has published a brief but interesting post on the Wildstar site that reveals how much more fun it is for players to roam the game in groups. During the 'Nexus with Friends' event, players who group up and complete multiplayer PvE events can earn double Renown. This boon to Renown gains can be earned in expeditions, adventures and dungeons.

This is the problem with MMORPG's now-a-days. They should have alot of benefits for social & group play implemented from day one. This is only a "Weekend" thing. Sad, and probably also why Wildstar failed. Social Interaction has been lost in the new MMORPG's. Cant wait for Pantheon to bring Social gameplay back to MMORPG's.

Wild Star is no less social than other MMOs. The reason is didn't become a great success in the first place is that it had a small target market of hardcore gamers. People are growing up and have commitments - we all told them that but they didn't listen. The game is now more user-friendly and hopefully it's launch on Steam will help it to keep going.

Guess they really are going the wow route by releasing more promotional stuff than actual content. Can give all the new areas to explore and what not but there's nothing really new to the game other than more gear...

I liked Wildstar when it launched. I was even going to give it another shot a couple weeks ago, but after dealing with piss poor customer service they can keep it. It was an average game at launch.. not worth the troubles.

    Just because I'm a gamer doesn't mean I drive a Honda.

Having fun with this game lately but their IP check shows the incompetence of the company.
GW2 registered my IP and only asks me to confirm when I log in while I'm at work.

WS asks me for confirmation every single time cause it refuses to remember my IP.
Log in - first time I write my password - forwards me to the NC site - second time I write my password - opening mail - enter the confirmation code - back to the game - third time I have to use my password.

Sorry but that is just not acceptable.
