First I've seen of that.. but the truth is we were in the beginning stages of a new expansion.. we did the focus groups.. you guys clearly said "fix the game before you talk to us about an expansion" we listened and pulled everyone off that expansion. Is that direct enough?

Smed is the master of spin.
If they've cancelled the expansion it's more likely because THERE ARE TOO FEW SUBS left for them to be able to sell it and make money than it is because the core game is broken, sucks, and we don't want one...
If they pulled the expansion devs into the core game, why are we seeing FEWER fixes and slower publishes rather than more and faster?
What is most likely is they yanked them off the expansion to work on another game.
But he sounds like a angry spoiled child. I think he is loosing the grip on the situation.
People are tired of waiting. And more people cancels every day.
The game is bleeding slowly to death.

Kind of funny the day after TONS of reports that SOE lost the License are everywhere on the web, he starts posting "facts". This is skeptical at best, misleading more than likely. And notice HOW he answers the questions. What he's being careful NOT to say is what's interesting me...
I said it before, and I'll say it again: BOTH SOE & LA will deny that SWG is closing down until it does, so that they can milk as much cash as possible from it. I feel sorry for the suckers who still have hope...

Obraik might be a lot of things, but an "expletive" he is not. He has nothing to apologise for and as far as I'm concerned, the only thing he could possibly be ashamed of if SWG actually dies is having believed things he really wanted and needed to believe. Considering this doesn't hurt anyone but him, I'd say his guilt box is kinda light.
As for courage... well it takes a LOT more courage to show up day after day to these forums and defend the current game build than it does to condemn it. I condemn it, make no doubt, but I'll make no bones about how much harder it is to stick to your opinions and stand on the other side.
