The new patch is up on the PTR servers for testing... classes for the upcomming legion expansions have changed again, some for the good and some for the worse.. but this is part of how Blizzard keeps the game attractive over the long term, by changing gameplay every major expansion... i think they want people to switch classes.. because everyone knows playing a single class to long makes the game stale...
Fun thing ... there are also some pre Legion events to test, and they are quite buggy. And now people are attacking Blizzard for releasing buggy content on the testservers...

that being said, i have legion collectors and normal editions purchased on 2 seperate accounts because i can't seem to decide if i wanna roll a demon hunter for the expansion or continue to play feral again (i stepped down from mythic raiding a few months ago due to just being generally over HFC)
so i talked a friend into leveling my feral druid alongside me leveling a demon hunter and then that way i can have them both raid ready by the time raids open and depending on team composition and which i'm enjoying more at the time, i can step in on said toon.
Actually looking forward to Legion and Artifact weapons, i really like the idea of artifact weapons but i'm disappointed they won't carry over into further expansions, it would have been neat to be able to say name your artifact weapon whatever you want and then carry it on with you in the future to new expansions.... Kinda like how we're the heroes of azeroth it feels feeling that we would have our own named weapon to forge our destiny.
That being said i understand why they don't want to do that... it would just be cool is all
I'd be interested to try it out - but I hate losing progress.
This is not the "its done when its done" Blizzard - as in when we are no longer fixing 2,000 bugs a day.
This is the "we need the money to pay down the debt we have taken on to buy King" Activision Blizzard.
As far as class swaps go, I actually have no problem playing the same class without needing huge changes. Some classes I just enjoy a lot, and sure I play alts but in the end I could keep the same main for a long time if it retains its play style. The issue is a lot of times blizzard changes classes for the worst, with WW Monk being an example of a fun play-style made worst rather then improved upon.
I do think some classes could of used changes of course, but a lot of the changes they did in the past felt far more of a 'we need this dumbed down' more often then anything else and often coming with lack luster results for many of the classes. At least Legion seems to be giving more positive then over-all bad... though it oculd be contributed as well to how there were a couple classes (hunters in particular) who were just pretty lack luster as it was in legion.
