    Anyone ever see Thin Red Line, that war movie?

    Me and my brother went to the cinema when it came out. 

    We bought Premiere seats.

    About half way through we both looked at each other with the same "wtf is this crap" look on our faces. 

    Thinking about it, can I get a refund now?

    I mean if you can ask for your money back 3 years into the development cycle of a game surely you can ask for your money back on a film that has already been finished even if it is a stupid number of years since i came out...

    I always thought their studios looked too well stocked and wondered where the money was coming from to have all those toys on display and now I see they added a sliding space door...  minimum viable product may be delivered... only short updates on SQ42...

    That's the stereotype answer you always type when someone mentions SC's forums. It's becoming old and you should come up with something fresh.

    I'm very active on the aforementioned forums and have yet to see a relevant thread to emerge only to be deleted by a mod.

    Oh wait, i bet numerous threads are being made and removed while i am asleep. That's why i do not see them.

    I just wish someone would challenge one of these kickstarters in court. Would love to see what a judge thinks on a company that takes money promising you diamonds but only delivers a lump of coal. I mean if it was investors they would be protected and someone would be going to federal prison.

    I'm pretty sure the judge would give them a look of contempt before throwing it out. People bought into the idea of a game, not actual physical merchandise. Idea's don't always pan out, just watch an episode of Shark Tank to see that.

    I really don't have an opinion about SC and probably would not play it if and when it releases, but I'd say this whole discussion is probably Reason #2 to not hand over your hard-earned money to unfinished games that may or may not see the light of day.

    Great film but not really a war movie, more like how meaningless war is movie.

    Aside from this analogy being wide of the mark, I remember "Thin Red Line" being an excellent film.

    So SC backers have essentially purchased a movie ticket and are now receiving services rendered?  SC's development is entertainment?  Are you really going with that argument?
