*looks at the art*  Modernized?  O.o
I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story.  So PM me if you are starting one.

And they're apparently going to fund it with a measly $7500 Kickstarter.  If you really can make a game that cheaply, you can probably find a way to self-fund it, too.

Always makes me laugh when people see the graphics and say "this sucks", Devs of our "modernized" games are putting so much time on real life graphics that the game play absolutely sucks but if they do manage to get the game play right, the game finishes in under 24 hours.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, as far as RPG goes, be it MMO or solo, graphics evolved way to quickly for absolutely nothing, because quite honestly, everything sucks. People are playing way more 2D 2.5D games than 3D games.

Anyway, this project looks awesome but currently busy with Stardew Valley that I got on the Steam Summer sale, once I'm bored with that, I'll look more in to Guardians of the Rose.

Yet another 8-bit game to suck the life out of me. Still undecided about backing it, but I'm sure that I'm going to buy it once it comes out.

Well Shards Online only got like $100k and it's pretty deep. My guess? Secondary funding. Also, art assets can probably be randomly-generated since they're 8-bit :)
