IMO and a question

in Final Fantasy XI

First of all, there are some good ideas in this game. The chocobos are much better to ride than horses, the airships, all that. However, the main damaging point for me is the menu system. Also, I was in a group one time and by the time I got clicked on the creature we were fighting, everyone died...but it didnt go after me for some reason. I wanted this game for a very long time and was dissapointed. I dont know if anything major has changed but I think the menu system needs to go. And my question is...I moved and my password is in a box somewhere...is there ANY way to retrieve it from Square at all? I have my login name but need my password.

    I havent had much of a problem with the menu system.  Some people insist that you need a PS2 controler in order to play which I suppose might make it easier in some aspects.  I have a Nostromo gamepad that I've used for FPS games and it works like a charm.  I have 10 programable buttons which I've assigned to be the things I use the most.  I'm considering buying the usb adapter and give my PS2 controler a shot but I dont know yet.

    As for your PW problem, man that blows.  The only thing I can give you is the Playonline Information Center phone number, its 858.790.7529  or go to their web site at www.playonline.com and click on service and support section.  Have your credit card ready.

    menu problem=make macros. =) makes life easier, there like like 10 for alt and 10 for ctrl..but numerous tabs so i think u can like 50

    Try using a control instead of the key board. I don't have any problem with the menu screens using my controllor. It is actually quite useful. TTyL TTFN

    A lot of people actually prefer the compact keyboard setting over a gamepad. I'd say to try both. By the way, you can make up to 200 macros. image

    I always use the default keyboard settings. It's not really a problem for me, but maybe that's because I've grown used to using my left hand for the mouse from all those years playing EQ. :)

    And I really liked the menu system. It wasn't always in your way like in EQ, and it doesn't take long to navigate through everything there.
