Rogue-5 on MMO Radio

in Star Wars Galaxies

Thunderheart announced today on the official boards that Rogue-5 will be interviewed on MMO Radio sometime in April.

Even though it may be a futile effort, I decided to email my own question:

In 1985, The Coca-Cola Company came out with “The New Coke” which proved to be a dismal failure. As you may remember, the media had a field day with this event as they showed people around the country in protest of the new product. Even when taste tests showed that “Coke” had a better flavor than Coca-Cola, the customers continued their protest by publicly pouring the new beverage onto the ground.

Coca-Cola admitted its mistake and reintroduced “Coca-Cola Classic” which has remained a strong leader in soft-drink sales ever since. When are the folks at Sony Online Entertainment and Lucas Arts going to realize their blunder with the “New Game Enhancements” brought to Star Wars Galaxies? When will we see the old product return like the public has been begging for?

    Geez! These guys are getting DESPERATE! They announce a BS tour and Rogue 5 doing an online radio show. Both announced a day or 2 after the rumors started flying about SOE getting kicked to the curb. Sounds to me like things will be happening very soon. Why else would they be announcing stuff happening in a couple weeks? My guess is so they can get people to renew one more time before the big announcement. I'd bet that SOE keeps any sub money charged until the announcement is made. They're trying to grab as much cash as they can before everyone starts to jump ship.

    Could be. To be honest though; if it meant that a new team would be taking over SWG and reverting back to the pre-cu code, I wouldn't even worry about my lost subscription money.

    Yeah i really hadn't thought about it until i went to the fridge to grab a coke about an hour ago.

    The difference between Coke and SOE is that Coke wants you to buy it, enjoy it, and buy more. If Smed ran Coca-Cola at the time he'd be tickled cause people would have to buy a can in order to dump it on the ground. He knows nothing of customer retention.

    Ugh...Pepsi .  It's 55c for 1.25L at the local supermarket currently compared to $1.89 for 1.25L of Coke and there's still more Pepsi on the shelf then Coke :D  All prices are in NZ$ :p

    My household drinks Coke Classic. I'll order water if a restaurant serves only Pepsi Cola.
    The only Pepsi product our household likes is Mountain Dew.

    Pepsi's superior marketing can't overcome our dislike of Pesi-Cola's taste.

    I don't drink Coke or any other kind of pop, I don't like pop. However perception is what sells, take for example BMW's now many people think BMW's are very good cars due to them being European and the price tag but mostly its the marketing, but lets face it BMW's are crap, there a cheap crappy car, most Mechanics that specialize in European cars don't even touch BMW's due to them being cheap crap. In short if you have great marketing and you can grab a persons attention and hold it for 30 seconds you could sell them a bag full of dog shit and they would think they were flowers.

    Personally when at a restaurant it's Dom Perignon for me 1989 was a good year.

     

    when I say 'restaurant' I mean as one would visit in France or Italy not what the word means in the U.S (Fast food joint).
