VERY poor First Impressions

Especially Since i cant even log into my newly made Trial Account.

Apparently i dont exist on the Website, but i exist enough for them to send me my Billing Confirmation telling me that ive created my account and can expect to be billed in 2 weeks.

i cant even Cancel this because i need to log in first to do so.

No reply yet from my Emails either.

So like the Title Says.

    First off, calm down. Take a deep breath.

    Im not a Tulga or Horizons fanboy, but I was able to get into the trial with no problems... And the game really has progressed a great deal since the last time I tried it. My first impressions = great

    Im just Pissed because after downloading the 1 gig installer for 15 hours or so and setting up an account i still cant get into the game.

    But ive looked it up on the Official Forums and there is a few people that have been having the same trouble. One guy says it fixed itself , another said that after repeated Emails they fixed the problem for him.
    This still doesnt leave me any closer to actually seeing what this game is like, but since all ive had since ive made the decision to do so is HeadFarks it leaves a very Bad Impression on how id be treated if i ever joined.

    Ok wait.

    It gets even better now.

    Support finally answered my emails, they informed me that they have Reset the passwords for a completely different email account other than mine. Thats right folks.. They just reset some other guys passwords.

    How exactly does this fix my problem?

    well.... it doesnt.

    I aint joking, they sent ME an email telling me that they Reset the password for the email address (insert random email here). They didnt use my address i had given them. They didnt fix MY account. They just stuffed someone else's account up.

    On top of that their new passwords dont work anyway lol.

    Which brings up the question, if Horizons isnt doing so well, how can the support crew afford Crack?

    Sazazel, I hope you get this straightened out before you get billed for this steaming pile. I beta tested it and knew, along with most of the other beta testers that this game was doomed to failure.

    This is a funny story, yet sad at the same time.

    I have no advice to offer as far as fixing your account. Maybe keep trying to have them reset your password.

    Yikes, that's definitely no good. I'm on my 14 day'er myself, and your whole ordeal is sorta giving me second thoughts.

    Ok, its been a couple of weeks so ill finish the story.

    Support Eventually Realised their mistake with the password reset. They sent an email apology, they fixed my account and i could finally log in.

    I tried really hard to like this game, i really did. Made an archer, found my first broken quest in the Tuturial Area. (Crafting quest). Thought, meh ill try a dragon.

    Now they were a little better. Fx looked nice for them.

    The FX for the countryside was a little different, Pop up city. Gotta love when a Tree can sneak right up on you then Suddenly Appear even though its taller than most Apartment buildings.

    Cities were ghost towns, also found my second Broken quest in my first town i came to as a dragon, NPC sent me to kill stuff in a certain area, said to get the level 4-5 ones... Problem being there wasnt any level 4-5 critters there. Oh i did find one after an hour or so... by that time i was losing interest fast.

    Now i had high hopes for this game, but alas now i see why its struggling to get customers, i tried really hard to like it although my Post might not reflect that. The real sticker for me though wasnt the Pop up Gfx it was the broken quests. Nothing worse in a MMO than broken quests.

    On a Positive note, i had NO trouble cancelling my Trial account, thank god for small mercys.

    Meh maybe if they got some professional programmers in.

    From a patch note last month

    "Improved handling of network messages when under high load situations"

    I didn't realise their network was under high load.::::04:: j/k.

    Only reason to play is if you really like dragons.

    I know you were joking, but, that was actually pretty insulting to IT guys.

    Any programmer that works AS a progammer IN a professional environment  IS a professional.  That is the agreed upon definition.  Now, whether they have enough people working on the same thing at the same time fast enough to fix it on time as it needs to be... well... that's something over 78% of wired companies need to ask themselves.

    I have no idea how Tulga runs, or how episodes have gone in the show of Horizon inner-discourse, but I'm not going to damn the pageboys for the dead King's transgressions.

    lol...when I first bought the game they F-ed up everything and I couldn't even play..then they tried to get me to play after the fixed their crap...Horizons looked like a piece of trash to me...

    The only thing appealing was the dragons.
