Laptop Lenovo Amd new driver problem windows 8 and 8.1

Well, first thanks for any help. I have  a Lenovo laptop, and I haven't really used it for gaming, but I want to now. So I have been using it just for internet browsing and didn't really care about performance. I updated to the current amd drivers, btw it has a amd a8 on board r5 230m. I didn't catch it at first, but I installed path of exile. The computer skipped, with everything, and the process system was stuck at 20 percent. I tried everything deleting stuff, killing processes, shutting off everything non essential nothing at all worked. I thought then I had a virus.

I then freshly installed windows 8 formatted 6 times, deleted partition and made a new one. I didn't update windows to see if that was the problem, as soon as I installed the new amd driver same thing 20 percent to system process and skip. So I updated to windows 8.1 fully updated, same problem. I am hoping the older driver works, but it is hard to find, and I dono if I got the right one. I never had this problem with desktop amd cards, so I am at a total loss. Thanks again.

If you're trying to use drivers released by AMD, try using the ones offered by Lenovo instead. If you're trying to use drivers offered by Lenovo, see if drivers offered by AMD would work better.

Thank you very much, didn't even know there were Lenovo drivers. I lowered it back to a driver made a year ago, and its working at least so far as no random cpu drain or skip, if the games don't work I will try going to Lenovo.
