Jagex has announced that it has been acquired by Chinese investors and that a new board of directors has been appointed. The buy out gives Jagex a new investment cycle to grow RuneScape and other related projects including mergers and other acquisitions to expand its gaming operations.

    China has half the world's population.  So yea makes sense that they would own half the gaming companies.
    Are you onto something or just on something?

    It's probably inevitable that this trend will continue. There are fabulously rich companies in China, naturally they will want to expand beyond their domestic market.

    I feel sorry for the people that actually really enjoyed runescape as it was as it will more than likely change into something entirely different now.  The company that bought jagex was a mining company, they are not looking for a good game.  There drive will be profits.

    A sixth the world's population, but point remains unchanged. Both China and India are rapidly approaching developed economical status, with the average residents being "middle class" and will begin to return the favor to the west by purchasing and investing in Americas and Europe
