Wait, wut?  The #4 game on the Top Voted (Development) list is something called Epocylipse the AfterFall?  A game that doesn't even have a forum on this site?  Ahead of Camelot Unchained?  Are we supposed to believe that is legit?

    I noticed that game, Epocylipse,  does that every once and a while and all the other scores seem to drop at the same time.  I've seen it happen at least 3 times. Pretty fishy.

    At what point will people realize that modern business and morality literally cant exist together. If it is a business, 100% chance it is parasitic in nature and so should not be trusted.

    Its best to just accept that and move on, so many of these "waaaaa this site gets paid to put games in top slots!" it is getting old.

    They need to come up with new criteria for those lists.

    First they need to have a separate list for non-mmos. The lists should have something to do with how much they are being discussed or subforum activity (they used to claim this was the case - obviously it isn't). Last, there needs to be a minimum vote/activity threshold.

    Like I said in my other thread about NMS being number one, its NOT a complaint about non-mmos being discussed or used to draw more people to the site, its that they are removing the few things that make this site in any way about MMOs.

    its all about glueing together things that have broken with your faithful epoxy gun, you get higher scores by accurately glueing the right pieces together! :p

    I think it is paid hype meter manipulation. mmorpg.com stuff said they regularly check for manipulation and adjust them but it has not been done since their attempt to migrate to a new site failed. Hopefully all will be sorted out once we go to new site.

    All games added to those lists start in first place.  The very low vote count also effects the listing.  As more votes are cast the game usually drops off the front page.  Most of the votes are probably entered by those who don't want to see a new game at the top of the list.

    Did you know that a game called "Eternal Chaos" was the most popular game on MMORPG.COM in the last month ?

    It had 130K "unique hits", 30K more than the second most popular game (Rift).
    Wait... what ? Rift ? Oh nvm.... 

    The forums for "Eternal Chaos" must be smokin', right ?
    Er... actually it has no forum here.

    Then there must have been some some hot news article, surely ?
    Nope, none, nada, zilch...

    But they did have a FREE GIFT KEY offer !!!!!

    This site couldn't handle the simple responsibility of separating non MMO's from MMO's on a list. When the guy who runs the site thinks a game with no player interaction (at best you might consider the AI battles 1 vs 1) is an MMO, and once had League of Legends in the running for best MMO on some half assed "hall of fame" site... you know its going to be shit. Let the list be as is in my opinion. As I age I am slowly becoming more patient and realizing that people are just stupid. Really stupid.
