Asheron Call 1 and Black Desert .. and some of Age of Conan ... Three of my favorite old and modern MMORPG's...All of the others where mostly trash..
Games that have skill systems that have 1-100 and as you use it like Darkfall, people cheat those every time.... So you are begging for cheaters to take over you game, so that is proof it is boring to level otherwise people would not macro it..
WoW and Final Fantasy XI thus creating World of Fantasy! but Final Warcraft sounds better
It would be a pc only title with Final Fantasy's class change, merit point, and job point system fused with WoW's flight system and Thrall. And I shall rename Thrall into Pepe. That is all.

playing an MMORPG?"
Sadly, I coudn't come up with an MMO whose story I thought was good enough to use as raw material for this. :frown: But I think that combat like that of Dofus (removing its classes and allowing players to purchase skills from the full pool) could be combined with crafting like that of A Tale In The Desert to make an MMO that had pretty great gameplay.
I want to help design and develop a PvE-focused, solo-friendly, sandpark MMO which combines crafting, monster hunting, and story. So PM me if you are starting one.
Eve and Planetside. Yeh I know there was Dust, but I think making that a console exclusive plus it's smallscale battlemap design was a big mistake and was one of the reasons it flopped. Star Citizen might come close to that if it ever really gets out of the gates and out of development hell.
If either Eve or ED would actually add a fully fledged ground combat and planetary control element that worked seamless and interdependently with their already established core game then I would finally have a "home" that I see others on these forums sometimes post and talk about.
I always thought WoW and Warhammer online would have been the perfect match, WoW had all the pve and extras anyone needed while the RvR lakes of WaR was just great pvp... I would be playing that till this day.
EverQuest (1 of course) and a sandbox like SWG. Honestly, I'd prefer the PvP of Darkfall, but the crafting and just about everything else in the game was so poorly contrived, its really hard to say DFO over SWG.
If I could add BDO graphics that would be nice too.
World, graphics, engine, (evolved) dynamic events from GW2 combined with classes, combat, open ended content design philosophy and depth of Everquest. Spiced up with the original (at launch) crafting system of Eq2, the UI modding ability of WoW.
A second idea is an arpg'ish style (isometric) game like Grim Dawn or Path of Exile, but with more focus on coop mechanics and roles (possibly slower combat as well). Made like a mmorpg with all that it includes, and as usual out with story driven content themepark style. Shards Online might be heading in this direction, lets see.
Third, EqNext as it was intended .. It would have to be made by someone who does not mess it up along the way *cough* Daybreak.
City of Heroes and Planetside 1. I loved Planetside's world and immense combat. An MMO using super powers and the best XYZ combat ever would be damn near amazing in that world.
And of course, we would need the ability to save the world on occasion...
The world is going to the dogs, which is just how I planned it!

Death is nothing to us, since when we are, Death has not come, and when death has come, we are not.

That would be some nice, atmospheric and complex game, that feels like a world.
