When Pokemon Go launches in Japan tomorrow, it will be the first country to feature sponsored PokeGyms, notably three thousand McDonald's locations throughout the nation. It is likely that this is a test ground for the rest of the world and a larger sponsorship by the fast food giant.

You gonna be able to get fat and then burn some of the calories while trying to catch a Pokémon.

Though I can't remember the last time I saw a fat Japanese, outside of the Sumo culture.

Same with Chinese... Lol I guess they must be doing something right!

Right, let the sellout begin! Highest bidders will get a rare pokemon added to their store!
Buy the XL menu and get a code that enables a free pokemon right next to your booth! We remove the inconvenient GO from the game so you keep shoving our fast food in.
What a shameful contradiction to the game's basic premise!
It would have made some sense if a fitness center chain does this to lure people to join in and work out and socialize.

I guess the game was too much of a threat to obesity and unhealthy gaming habits. So McDonalds to the rescue, starting in Japan with restoring the rightful order that was in place before people left their houses with a bottle of water and a sandwich and walked 10km while playing.

Game becomes a victim of it's own popularity within weeks. What a crazy thought it has been that this would stay just "a game" and not get sold out.
I remember when Nintendo was about good games and fun for everyone. Seems like along the way they gave in to other corporate ideals. "If you can't beat them, join them."

    LOL ?

I should ask YOU that question then, as you clearly are not aware how slim they are.

But here, let me help you and show you that Japan has a 5% obesity rate and Somalia 4.8%.

Actually, scrap that, they are now at 3.2% (the previous link was from 2008). So yeah, they are like walking stick figures :expressionless:
