What two classes do you guys think work best together when teamed?

The reason I'm asking is because my roommate and I usually play together. And unfortunately, a lot of times we only have 30 mins to an hour to waste. So we're looking for two classes that we can play when we have these short times that will work the best off of each other.

Thanks.

Uhm....wow its been so long Sice I have played But I would say...Shaman(the master buff machines) and..... whichever melee class can dish the most damage? not rogues though, they don't have the hp for it.

EDIT: Or maybe a Necro that could fear the mob and sick its pet with tons of dots and and a rogues that continuously backstabs it?

Me and my dad played together  with a bard and monk. I thought it was a fun combo. The bard is a awesome class in my opinion. I love him for scootin around. My fathers monk does wicked damage. The bard has good songs when fighting too.

A good combo is a druid( for teleports, dmg shield, sow and all other druid goodies) and a berserker or some sort of meatshield ( for tons-o-damage )

it might sound crazy but paladin and wizard works well..paladin to tank em, wizard to nuke, and paladin to heal after battles

Shaman/Necro has always been the best duo combo.

Although as a level 70 mage, I duo'd with a level 70 necro all the time at the tables in POFire. Got more than enough AA points waiting for raids. Mages in POFire are basically useless in POFire since most of their damage comes from fire spells, but the necro's ability to kite the mob efficiently makes a mage pet a great part of the team.

SK/shammy IMO, and not only duo....you can always form a group with those two has your backbone. ::::20::

Beastlord/Druid is a solid combo.  Beastlords bring Slows, Tanking Pet, Mana Regen buffs, Decent Melee Damage and the Beastlord himself can tank very well since he can slow the mob.  Druid brings in Damage Shields, Nukes, Heals that are second only to Clerics, Ports(evacs), Tracking and with snare you can even set up a pretty decent Kiting team.

Pally and Beastlord groups well too. For the reasons listed above.

My preferance is beastlord and Cleric. Beast can Tank, Slow, Heal, Debuff, Pet of some extra dps, even tho bests are one of the worst dps classes out there. they get a damage reducing disc every 3 mins. Cleric best heals, damage shields ( mark series), nice proc hammers, decent ac, can take a hit. We can dou quite a few of the luclin raid mobs, with cleric on ramp. tried with druid was squishy druid. Beast pet is also a decent off tank till bout lvl 60 then he is just added dps. The two of us have taken very large targets down, that most others could not duo.

Another great combo, but doesnt work well everywhere is necro/ chanter. Great kiting combo, Chanter charm pet can be insane dps, necro's can keep there mana high very easly and with very little work. In cramped crowded dungeons this combo does not work well, and if no charm pet to tank, raid mobs will be hard to duo.

Wizard and Chanter if you get the skill to back it up.  The wizard might seem like the easy part, but it is the hardest of the two in such a duo.  You wouldn't believe what 2 such individuals can do and...you can easily find a group, a group can always use a chanter and having the best damage output (a high-end rogue can be ARGUED to be better, but IMO the best dps is the wizard...especially with those AE spells).  Skilled wizard solo-quad, impossibly skilled wizard duo AE hunt with a chanter, having no healing it doesn't forgive to fight 16 mobs at once without running, just ditching the damage...but yeah, that is in the late game, still early on a charm + 2 rooter + haste + clarity + damage spells...that rock any other duo.  Remember, you have no healing in this duo...yet grabbing a healer while you learn how to figure that out is easy, clerics might be hard to convince, but shamans are easy to talk and druids are crying out loud to get anyone to group them, second best healer, snarer and nuker, that is a very good 3rd member if not the best and nearly always 1 druid available to group at any given moment, and the druid is unlikely to complain about anything, he is grouped with a chanter and a wizard, he is in heaven (druid might be jealous of wizzy damage and feel he is only a healer/snarer, but his nukes/charm animals are still nice even if not central)!    And druids players are often very skilled players, ressourceful players, kind players, this is a very nice aspect of this duo.  (druid/chanter and druid/wizard work relatively well too, but IMO it work better chanter/wizzy, get a druid if you get a third and druids are an abundant natural ressource on any server so, you got the hard class covered anyway)

SK/Shammy is conventional and rather easy, but it is rather low on healing, yet the SK should be able to keep aggro and the mob should always be slowed.  Although you have some backbone to BUILD a group, the big flaw is that groups will rarely be interested in you, you will have to build them...or be lucky.  Group builded by others seldom have room for both a SK and a SHM, now those 2 class work well in a group, but strangers groups been build by other often have already a tank or a slower...anyway, just my opinion.  Life is going to be harsher unless you actually like to build your own group...gear will be extremely important and you are unlikely to be high on any guild priority who want to outfit their warriors and doesn't really need that many shamans.  A second shaman or a second SK in a group...the group can work, but it isn't going to please many persons, it would be rather hard to conciliate peoples and make them accept 2 shamans or to ShadowKnights.  (2 wizards or 2 chanters is still extremely nice and welcome in MOST groups)

Bard and Rogue would be quite interesting IMO.

Paladin and anything ditching damage could be great.  Heck, even a chanter with the paladin can be fun!  (chanter pulling and ditching damage while pally tanking and healing, that is quite FUN).

A cleric, a chanter, a shaman or a bard with anything else would also give you two a good option on grouping with strangers in general.  2 of those class means that you would prolly be harassed to group on a non-stop basic, especially whent the folks learn that you are always coming with each other, a group can ALWAYS use a second cleric or chanter if that player is skilled and know what he is doing around (clerics tend to have problem to accept this, while chanters usually are happier to see another chanter in the group, as 1 of them focus on charms if not both, but when you have two cleric, you send cleric #2 pull and you know he can heal the group extremely well and with DB + DA he certainly qualify as a good puller, not to mention all the aggro related spells...a cleric who doesn't like having a second cleric in group is fine, it is ego related, another group member who dislike having two clerics in the group is plainly mistaken).  (like a cleric and a chanter, doesn't duo that well, yet still duo some...but most importantly, groups will fight to get you)

    We've found that there are lots of effective duos. SK/cleric, SK/shaman, Paladin/druid, mage/cleric, mage/chanter, mage/mage, mage/BST, mage/necro, mage/wizard...

Umm.. yeah. My husband likes playing a mage. A lot.

Shamy/Necro is a clasic, but ports are great for banking loot.

    Shamy/Wizzard

    Monk/Druid

    Mage/Druid
