My angriest moments were in Final Fantasy 11 . I will never play a Red mage or do social chat no more. The forced PVP in Allods really pissed me off as i was getting ganked while i was trying to quest.  Thank god for DDO LOTRO and Neverwinter i get to chose to pvp if i so desire

Eve.  I was in a nice corp.  One corp member was being harassed so he called for help.  I was new with my first battleship and I said I would come and this other guy in the corp said he was good in PvP and would back me up.  I went with him.  We attacked.  My corp mate then said he needed to go.  I got owned cause I was alone not knowing what to do.  Lost my BS and was so salty.

EverQuest 2 was my first "trinity" MMORPG. I decided to make a Shadow Knight - mainly because he was holding a gigantic sword and shield.

After about level 15 or so, I joined my first group. They kept calling me "tank". "Do this, tank" "Do that, tank". I thought they were calling me tank simply because I was badass. After about 2 group wipes, a few of the members of our party started to get sassy. They were saying, "This tank is totally retarded. He doesn't taunt! Blah blah blah." I responded, "You guys are the retards! Taunts don't do any damage!" They all laughed, kicked me from group, and posted my stupidity on the forums.

    Sigh.

Perma ban SWG Pre-CU. No significant prior violations for a long time plus I was a light jedi knight and it took me forever to get there. It happened because someone used some exploit in game to give me mass exp loss for big bounty reward when I logged on without buffs and still with wounds. He even took screenshot to brag it on forums afterwards.

I simply just threatened him with the word "if" and for that I get perma banned. Months after karma came to the game with NGE and decade later SOE is no more. Still though this is just one good example that exercising "authority" to punish individuals severely for using the wrong words in heat of battle can cause far more negative effects in our society.

This site for instance tries to impose a lot of authority, but I find that far more harmful. Many here using new accounts where they can just flame and troll individuals without care, while I have to sit and wait for hours or days or never many of those troll accounts and posts to be removed, while I can't do anything else since I'm not allowed to give the same medicine to these trolls so they think twice before trolling again.

Finally, I know for a fact this community would be far more alive and entertaining if mods were only here removing botters with spams and what not. If anyone wants to talk crap to someone, they are welcome to. I don't find that a problem. If someone wants to offend, insult please allow them to....Usually individuals with low intellect find insults more easy to throw than make a point with an actual argument.

I was raiding on WoW, maybe about a year ago, I got into a raid (I was undergeared) but I beat their main raider Moonkin (same spec as me) in damage on both pulls, so 3 of the SAME ring dropped, I needed just one of them.

They had it on master looter but it was still just roll if you need it. I lagged out because I was connected wirelessly at the time, even though I won the roll, they gave it to a random guy who was there for just the one boss, because I was logged out for 5~ minutes.

I'm still salty about that one. :P

I played healers only for many years, so i had MANY angry moments...esp. healing idiots standing in red stuff in random groups that then rolled on and won my healing items.
Today i think it's stupid to get so mad about such things.. but back then, i was way more involved.

But i guess that in my time of playing mmorpgs online, i still made other people angry much more often than other people made me angry. Something i laughed off back then, but i'm not proud of today.

Man that soapbox has to be about to break. Try to step down every once and a while. I'm sure it would be appreciated.

Probably the most angry I have ever been in an mmo was in 1999-2000ish in Ultima Online. I had a real life friend get into my account and steal millions of gold from me. Kind of put a damper in our friendship for a while.

I don't remember.  It wasn't important.  More than likely it was related to either the game application, my computer or my internet connection crashing.

it was a triple exp Thanks Giving event, was lfp for this particular daily that gives fat exp even without the event bonus, it required a 4 member party.. saw in chat LF1M, joined it with excitement knowing it'll be awesome to gain a few lv from this grindy game.. entered, engaged for 10 seconds then booted out by the leader.. he just needed 1 more player to que in, but wanted more exp for himself so decided to take me out being the lowest lv of the bunch. took SS & reported, days later, haven't seen the guy ever since.

was one of those dailies that u can't re-enter once u leave, 0 tries for the day.

Hmmmmm... I don't remember any moment that got me angry...

Recently I was playing Blade and Soul and decided to go with the open pvp using the faction clothes. For some reason someone that should be fired decided it is a good idea to not put protection when someone is re spawning or loading the game.

The result? People would camp like 5 to 10 around spawn zones and kill someone while it is loading the game. You literally get out of the loading screen dead. The only solution is remove the clothes and don't do it.

Nice way to waste an entire mechanic because devs can't even imagine someone would exploit such stupid game design. Even more stupid when the great majority is in the same faction. When I played it was such wasted potential it made me salty, because I like open pvp.
almost got ganked that way too! luckily the guy's dmg wasn't so high & still had 10% hp when game finally loaded.. stunned him n ran for the border. Played that game for couple months to HM9 till the dailies got painfully repetitive.

It did break. Now he's just standing on the soap.

I was pretty pissed when Earth & Beyond got cancelled for no logical reason. But the angriest I've ever been was when Behaviour Interactive pulled a bait and switch with Eternal Crusade. They promised a huge world to fight in, with faction vs. faction gameplay and an NPC Tyranid faction as a common foe.

Of course, as soon as they got the money, they came out and said that they couldn't deliver what was promised because they were effectively too stupid to make it. THEN they brought in some big shot asshole who long windedly told us that the technology available wouldn't be able to handle it. When people called him on his bullshit and pointed out several open world shooters which, while not quite as ambitious, work just fine, he made stupid excuses and tried to state that their open world wasn't actually open world, and blah blah blah blah. When people called him on THAT, he started insulting people.

Oh, and did I mention that despite pledging to never let a publisher dictate how the game is made, that they're now taking their marching orders from Namco / Bandai?

I could have forgiven that if the game was good, but it's not. It's a very bland and boring paint-by-numbers lobby shooter with a 40K skin and horrific balance issues. That's not what I fucking paid for, and it's sure as hell not what I was sold. If I wanted that I'd go play Space Marine (criminally underrated game IMO).

I honestly don't know what I'd do if I met one of those assholes IRL. Odds are good that it would involve some form of criminal charges though.

If any of you BI people read this, I'd like a refund. Right now.

Was in a guild in vanilla WoW with an enhancement shaman (I was resto). We're in ZG and the 2h mace off the bat boss drops (this is back in the days when all epics were damned rare and respectable). I dutifully did not roll since it wasn't suitable for my spec (bearing in mind that this was long before dual specs).

Next day, same group is 'raiding' UBRS as a 10 man when a hand of edward the odd drops from the Beast - if not the BiS resto weapon at the time, then up there, and certainly a lot better than the POS AV blue mace I was using. But who should roll against me other than the enhancement shammy? And of course he wins, and takes that too.

I said some unkind words, then quit the guild. There's a reason I'm a misanthrope.

I can't think of any tbh, I usually enjoy every second in an MMO , but I never join guilds and I socialize very little, so that surely has something to do with it as well.
In MOBAs  it's another story. I actually had to stop playing solo q/hero league because overall it was pulling my mood way down to the point of getting mildly depressed on occasion...When your entertainment time gets you depressed you know you're doing something wrong.

Angry and also embarrasing moment. I once fell for the enigma trade scam in diablo2 (someone shows you a low enigma and bargains for a long time, then suddenly wants to make a fast trade and replaces the enigma with a blank armor of same type). I don't remember exactly how much I lost but it was every ist and up I had, probably over 15 runes.

I was so angry with myself. And the worst part is they were all legitimately farmed, no botting, no hacks, 100 forge toon runs and trading stuff.. Many hours wasted. Got my legit enigma on some later ladder.. Knowing the value of stuff and where to farm, what and how to craft etc, it can be done.

Asheron's Call, the Lady of Arl.... (forget the name) quest. AC was an open world, no instances. So your guild had to arrange with any other groups about running the quest, as there were timers and things that others could mess with if so desired. Also, since only one person got the prize, you had to wait your turn with your guild.

My turn came, and after the mad scramble to get to the portal to enter the dungeon (the approach was an epic run through danger), I lagged and missed my chance to hit the portal. I died and had to wait weeks to try again.

In games these days, things are too easy to ever get worked up over, but when stuff required a little more time and effort, I was too self medicated to care.

    lineage 2 :
i was the leader of a very small clan of friends and we had wars with huge clans. you can freely engage and kill people you are at war with, with no penalties.

these huge clans pretty much ran the server and killed all the raid bosses, including some bosses that you needed for an important quest. some of these bosses were in a huge area called tower of insolence (TOI for short), it was a huge 14 story tower with increasingly difficult monsters to kill and some raid bosses along the way and a 1 week respawn big raid boss on the last floor.

i was in TOI hiding from 4 full parties of these guys i was at war with. they were killing one of these bosses needed for the quest and i wanted to rush the quest chest that spawns when the boss dies because it was the last one i needed for my quest and these guys only did them once a week for their clan members.

i scout them from behind a wall using the 3rd person point of view to look inside the boss room. as the boss dies and the chest spawns, i run in and interact with the chest and then one of the stupidest mechanics of lineage 2 kicked in : i didn't clear enough space in my inventory and therefore couldn't validate my quest because i was over the treshold.
and here i was in the middle of 30+ guys trying to empty my inventory from the useless crap i had picked up on the way up just to finish my quest.
my sneaky plan failed miserably, they killed me and i raged like a lunatic on teamspeak because i had to wait another week to finish my quest.

My was in UO , after grinding Leatherworking and making enough gold to buy my first small house , I set it up , recalled to bank to grab some stuff .. Went back to house as i opened the door and entered Wall of Flame went up in the House across the door and a PK named Aries was blocking the door , Was very effective as the Flame interupted me as him and a friend finished me off... took my key and my house ...

Was so pissed ... fast forward 2 weeks later ,I had spent each day (part of my time Hiding near the house
) Hoping to catch him .... Then my chance came ...  I got my revenge .. killed Aries , got my key back .. And cut off his head and put it in my bag .. Its still there 18 years later :)

lessons learned ..   Also he had stocked the house with arnor sets weapons and Potions ... :)

i have tons....Eq itself it was one hahaha but i remember 1 in special that made me rage so bad...

Traveling like 2h to kill a rare spawn in FFXI...in the other side of the world , i had to travel to a city , cross a cave , go uphill in the snow , more snow ... avoiding agros everywhere , and trading a item to a ??? (this mob only appears  on full moon or new moon so it was once every a few days ) i was SMN , and used carby to kill it , the fight was going well...until the rabbit starting to kill faster my carbuncle....i was running to resummon and agroed a mob that interrupted my casting.... the rabbit then killed me in 3 hits (taru smn hp too weak)

i was so mad at my self , wasted the whole evening, lost exp , lost the chance of getting the item....bleh....

Yeah ;/ I totally hear you. Some guy did that to me, too. He swapped out a Stone Ring of Jordan with some worthless trash-loot blue ring that happened to have the same icon. I fell for it.

    Grr.

When EQ2 announced it was going f2p. I wasn't angry about the f2p so much as LOTRO had been quite successful and fair at it. More, it was that questions started to be asked on the forums. And we were blown off. If I remember right, it reached 129 pages and most of the responses from the devs were the equivalent of "don't worry we won't screw you over" with no answers whatsoever. I was so angry after that because it showed how much they actually gave a crap about their players. Hundreds of questions and not a single one of them answered.

    Maybe not an MMO, but:

Arma 3 multiplayer (Wasteland w. about 70 players)

Killed by game, killed by geometry around stairs.
Killed by game, killed by parked car.
Killed by game, killed by rock.
Killed by game, killed by door.
Killed by game, killed by car driving past me (desynch).
Killed by game, killed by etc.

In Vanilla WOW, i was farming/skinning  Devilsaurs in Un'Goro Crater on my Dwarf Hunter. I think I was lvl 57 or 58. Crafting Devilsaur armor to level up my leatherworking and sell on the AH for gold. Devilsaurs were  Elites and hard to kill and hard to find.

Just as I finished killing a Devilsaur and  running up to skin it, a night elf druid unstealths and skins my kill. I say "WTF?" and he just  runs away. Few minutes later I kill another Devilsaur and he does the same thing, so I  run up to him and say "yo dude, i'm farming these for the skins, wtf are you doing?"

He runs off so I say screw this, i'm gonna  head  to the other side of the zone and kill some over there. So I kill another Devilsaur  10 minutes later and guess what? he skins it again. This druid is literally following me around Un'Goro stealthed skinning  all my kills. I'm so mad at this point, I send him a PST and say " hey asshole, if you skin  one more Devilsaur i'm gonna report you". He doesn't say a word. I hearth back to Ironforge cause I was  fed up.

Next day before I log into WOW i'm checking my email. I get a  letter from Blizzard saying I've been issued a warning for  harassment and foul language. He actually reported me for harassing him. I was so angry. I wrote Blizzard back explaining what happened but never heard from them again.
