Why doesn't XFire show DAoC?

reavoreavo Member Posts: 2,173

I just downloaded this XFire thingee out of curiosity. I'm still not sure what it's for. I'm trying to figure that out.

But I'm curious about the image it puts on our posts. Why doesn't DAoC show up as being played. How does it work?

    Dont Worry..

I have been having the same problem with DaOC and Eve Online. So its gotta be XFiREs end..

Doesn't show for me either. Tried adding it, it won't see it. Tried smacking it, doesn't feel it. Nothing worked so I gave up.

I'm curious, could it be that DAoC doesn't put itself in the Program Files folder like normal programs do? Does eve make it's own folder outside the Program Files folder or is inside the Program Files folder?

In xfire go to tools then look for installed hardware and click on Daoc when u scroll to it and then it should register with xfire.

You go to find installed software pick one of the 4 Daoc (simple,SI,TOA,CATA) , at the paths select either the Darkness or Cata path and then click apply .it should work image

Been there done all that. Thanks for the heads up but I do know how to use Xfire. I've reinstalled xfire, tried adding the game even reinstalled both Xfire AND DAoC.
Hell I only use it to keep track of my hours playing so it's not that big a deal to me anyway. Xfire is one ugly application anyhow. ::::35::
