Are there any MMOs with good pvp that do not have DoTs/Conditions?

Just curious if anyone knows of any MMOs that have good pvp and either have no DoTs (Damage over Time), or very little DoTs where they are only used as a small, supplemental addition to damage?

I have played a few MMOs in my time, WoW, WaR, SWToR, BDO, and my main mmo GW2 (have played since it released). My main focus is pvp, and I have loved everything about GW2 except ANet's focus on adding more and more conditions (DoTs), and buffing them over and over. With it so easy to apply conditions and run a tanky build, and kite, it ruins any type of skilled play. So, it is time to jump ship and look elsewhere.

Old School Runescape has no DoT aside from poison, which can be instantly cured by drinking an antipoison potion, though they also have no classes, very old graphics and a click-and-wait combat system.

Mount & Blade: Warband isn't exactly an MMO but it's historical combat keeps those pesky necro dots away from you. I think it might be worth a try for you. :)

Thank you both for the suggestions. I have the original M&B and enjoyed it for a while, just missed the pvp aspect. I have not played Warband yet, so I'll definitely have to check it out.

Cant do Runescape, looking for more action oriented combat vs click and wait.

I was searching online last night and found a year old post of someone saying that the DoTs in ESO are not really strong and are just small extra damage. Does anyone know if this was or is true? If it is still true, I may check ESO out.

Its true. Not sure if the gameplay is any more skilled than GW2, but it doesn't have condition builds like in GW2. You will instead find other forms of cheese, but its worth a try and imo its a great game.

Thanks for the info YashaX. I can deal with some cheese, but the condi cheese in GW2 has gotten out of hand.

Nothing like bursting down a player in pvp in 3 seconds with pure condi lol

Marvel Heroes has some DoT on a few random skills but its very minor from what I remember. I'm nearly sure Trove doesn't have any DoT whatsoever. Gloria Victis doesn't have any DoT.

If you're a programmer or willing to learn screeps if really fun.

Persistent RTS where the only way to control your units is programming them.  Open world PvPer, with some sanity checks(With game mechanics like time/distance, gathering/storage limits, instead of hard ones), really good customization, and enough complexity that it's hard to make a dominant strategy.

Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent.

Here is my condi cheese in GW2:

I didn't buy HoT so I can't run the OP specs, but this core build is pretty funny against less knowledgeable players. I am hopeless at pvp in ESO though, just can't get the hang of it. I think I have only ever beaten about 4 players 1vs1, but nevertheless it is still a lot of fun- totally different feel to GW2.

Thats not even that bad compared to what i have experienced YashaX. The other day a group of 5 of us came across a group of 6 from an enemy server in WvW, we were immediately condi bombed. My friend on his War had 50 stacks (why the cap is so hi is beyond me), yes fifty stacks of confusion, along with 4 or 5 other condis.

He recorded it, and looked back at it,m, and it was within 7 seconds that this happened. GW2 suffers from serious condition bloat.

in addition to the horrible conditions, there are builds like an unkillable druid build i know of, and it even does burst damage with the smokescale pet, just stupid thing like this plague this once wonderful game.

Oh yeah, I imagine in WvW it must be hell. Let us know what you think of ESO's pvp when you get a chance.
