Heya, so playing the 2.5 PTU collected some media stuff to overall share some new stuff, for actual proper full list of what's up with this update check bottom.

Gallery with some Prints: http://imgur.com/gallery/mMUsE (grim-hex, arccorp, reliant ship and argo ship)

Outlaw Base Tour:

Some comparative screens of visual updates made on Arccorp (on the right) with previous looks (on the left):

If you noticed btw they removed clouds, artist on UK was talking about procedural clouds stuff that is incoming, may be why.

Then it's mostly tech and mechanic updates, new landing system, updates on shopping, another iteration on Item System 2.0, first iteration of the new player health system, the reputation system update (to fit grim hex as the outlaw spawning point), and on ships there's 3 new flyable ones, the full changelog for the 2.5 PTU is here.

Overall not a big update content-wise, mostly improvement on existent systems. They aim to have 2.5 to be out of PTU by gamescon.

I have to smile about the fact that Port Olisar "temporarily" cannot offer energy weapons in its weapon shop due to "delays in delivery".

And the GrimHex pirate station offers energy weapons at a discount.... if you do not ask them were they got them ;-)

    Have fun

That was quite cool indeed, how the design of the system is made to this details.

If they followed up through a Guild Wars 2 approach here would be quite cool, players doing events / quests against the pirates would affect the prices or availability of goods on stores and things like that during a specific amount of time.

But being a MMO i don't think they can run away from the static vibe of the universe as the content has to be replayed constantly by other players.
