I think the new race should be a dragonkin race, after the Dragonmaw betrayal it only makes sense that a dragon race should be made, now the character classes with it would be tough... any seriouis ideas at what the alliance race would be? Probably been discussed before, I'm trying to get up to speed sorry for the newbish.

The Alliance population on most servers is by far larger than Horde. They wouldn't give the Alliance such a cool race, it would make the populations even more skewed. The solution to the balanced problem: Blood Elves (the announced Horde race).
As for speculation on the new race... a lot of people have been saying Pandaren. However I find that extremely unlikely considering that in China you aren't allowed to kill pandas in a visual or aristic sense in anyway, shape, or form. That would take away a lot of subscribers from WoW. Not to mention it would be so cool that many people would reroll just to be Pandarens.
The only hint they have given us so far is "think forests." I think it might be Dranei, or eveb Murlocs (I hope not). Perhaps an offshoot of trolls?
i was thinkin it would be Dranei too. I don't know much about to lore surrounding them, but from what i do, it seems like a viable source. And you couldn't be more correct...there are too many alliance and giving us (the horde) blood elves, i can see a lot of alliance coming to horde. The only thing im worried about is the mindless 13 year old chatter you always see in Teldrassil coming to Durotar or the Barrens...on second though, barrens chat is already shot to hell...so scratch that.
I don't think it'll be pandarens but, it might be a bear like class, there is a nuetral faction of bear like creatures in felwood before you get to moonglade called the Timbermaw they look like really big versions of ewoks. Hmmmmm....Horde gets cows alliance gets bears makes me think of a basketball game for some reason...
