Alright, so I've tried just about everything out except this game, and I was thinking about giving it a shot. But... Since its been around for awhile, is the game noob friendly at all? By this I mean are there going to be enough lower level players on so that I can find people to group with without a problem?

Actually, yes, you'll be able to find lower levels to party with because of the way FFXI's job system works. You can switch jobs (classes), but you level each job separately. And the fact that you augment your main job with a second job (support job or subjob) that must be levelled strongly encourages you to level other jobs (it's often useful to have multiple subjobs levelled and available). So that keeps a steady flow of experienced players coming back to level at the lower levels. Combine that with the fact that FFXI *does* get a small but steady stream of newcomers, and there's generally people available to party with at the lower levels.

Not to mention that FFXI will be realeased for the xbox 360 really soon (april 20 I think).
The servers will get flooded with new players so you wont feel lonely at all. And its really no problem to get a party at lower lvls as it is right now either. So there's nothing to worry about, come join us :P
